Lomberg/Nodler/Feuk and I’d be surprised to see a meaningful NHL contribution from any of the rest. Philp and McKenna probably have the best shots.

I think Lomberg may actually play in the NHL this year, even if it is just a game or 2 on the 4th line. At this stage, that might be enough.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Lomberg once again for me. I believe he has the lowest floor out of the remaining players while still having the ceiling of being a 4th line NHLer.

I was between Nodler and Roman but I picked Nodler. No real reason for it. Basically a coin flip at this point.

Jeremy McKenna
Whether he should be on the list is debatable, but I'm voting based on the players that appear on the list.

One dimensional goal scorer but scoring goals is the most difficult skill in hockey. Excellent at getting open and finding gaps in coverage which allows him to get his hard and accurate shot off. Also terrific on the powerplay. But, his defensive shortcomings significantly reduce his probability of success. Hockey is full of junior snipers who didn't pan out, but there are a few who have turned into mighty good scorers. Over 5 shots per game is insane.

Ceiling: 2nd line W
Probable: Tweener
Floor: Outright bust

After McKenna I don't see anyone else as having anything more than a remote probability of playing above the third line. While McKenna has higher likelihood of busting than some others, his ceiling remains the highest. In other words, his error bar carries more variability.

This is the point in voting where ceiling, to me, starts to give way to playing any games at all in importance. This is also the point where prospects can make big gains or losses in a one-year period of time.

I really don’t have much of a clue, but I think Roman can be a 4C

Pretty much everyone has to take significant steps forward to be on an NHL trajectory at this point

Jeremy McKenna will definitely skyrocket up the list if he earns a contract but for now I'll take Luke Philp over Lucas Feuk and Josh Nodler just because he has a contract and scores more goals.

Edit:

I see another goal scorer here, Milos Roman scored 27 goals in 59 games.

I went with Lomberg.

When you're scraping the barrel for guys who might be able to play in the NHL, it's pretty hard to overlook guys who have, ya know, actually played in the NHL.
