And probably hosting a championship game before Halloween
They haven't decided who will host the championship, or if it will be two legged. They might decide to have one game hosted by whichever team has been a league member the longest...

Yeah, I'm sure they're trying to figure out how to give Hamilton every advantage.
Meanwhile, York's opener was a disaster. A massive thunderstorm rolled through that caused the suspension of the game, leading to security to start sending people home, even though the game later resumed.
And unlike here, York doesn't have a good team to paper over the day 1 mistakes.
Fun fact, Cavalry have beat every CPL club, including Pacific twice. Spring season is basically theirs to lose.
That was by far the coldest game of the year. The wind really sucked the atmosphere out of the supporters section at times. Still a fun time though.
Attendance was 3162. With a 5 game sample size it's looking like weeknight games are in the 2000 range with weekend games in the 3000-4000 range. For a brand new league, it could be a lot worse, especially with the ticket prices being as high as they are. I've seen a lot of FC Edmonton games from their NASL days with significantly less attending.
I am really curious to see what attendance will be when we have a Saturday game with good weather as that has yet to happen. I really hope it's in the 4500-5000 range.

The only way that happens is if they slash prices on their premium seats.
I have a pair of tickets in the away section for Edmonton on June 15th. Unfortunately, due to some family circumstances I won't be able to go though, and would like to give them to someone here who can make that trek and will enjoy singing and laughing at the inept Edmonton team being beaten down by the Cavs!
Just PM me and I will transfer them to you...once I figure out how that can be done!

If you have no luck here, there is also a ticket exchange on reddit.
It should be noted that of Cavalry’s seven games, five have been at Spruce Meadows. This home-heavy schedule in the first month has been done to accommodate the venue’s equestrian schedule, which will be at its busiest during June and July.
Both Carducci and midfielder Elijah Adekugbe have talked in press conferences about making Spruce Meadows “a fortress” and they certainly have done that so far. Cavalry has only conceded two goals at Spruce Meadows, while scoring eight.
The west stand of ATCO Field, behind the goal that Cavalry always attacks in the second half, is turning into the Calgary team’s miniature version of Liverpool’s Kop or Borussia Dortmund’s Yellow Wall. The Foot Soldiers Supporters’ Group is situated in that stand and they keep the noise going all game. In the second half of matches, the entire stand – which is always packed, as the ticket prices are far more reasonable than the main stand – is always hurling verbal abuse at the opposing team’s goalkeepers. I don’t know if that kind of thing gets under the ‘keepers’ skin or not, but the fans are right on top of the net, so it’s not as if they can’t hear it.
It will be interesting to see if Cavalry can continue winning once they have to play a series of games on the road. Their win in Hamilton came down to a last-gasp goal. In such a large country that spans three time-zones, the ability to get results on the road may prove crucial for Cavalry to maintain their dominance in the CPL.

It's the South stand, not West.

I hope that supporters area comes across on TV as hardcore, loud and boisterous. It's a ton of fun being in that section during the game, and I know the players and Tommy appreciate it. I'd love to see more people join and and make that entire south section, from one end to the other, with loud and rowdy soccer fans.
More flags too, they add so much to the atmosphere!!

So. True.
That “Village” Keeper for Pacific definitely heard, he splashed some water at a fan after awhile...

Just spoke with the bar manager at the Rose & Crown about bussing supporters to games.
We have agreed that going forward, that we will do one bus from the Rose & Crown for weeknight games and two busses from the Rose & Crown for weekend games. The bus on Saturday had 70 people on it, so I think it's justified.
I also mentioned that I wasn't sure if there was enough demand for busses from Kildare's going forward on weekend games, but I would leave that decision with him. I believe there were only 15 people on the Kildare's bus for last game, and with that few people on the bus I don't believe it makes sense to continue a bus from that pub.
Hope everyone is enjoying the arrangement, and buying lots of beers at the bar before and after the game.
