While that photo is certainly angled for the best possible look, that crowd looks very good given the disaster that ticket sales looked this time yesterday.
Can't wait to see what we can do against an MLS team.

So in the Voyageurs Cup, Cavalry have been the only team to defeat a CPL team in round 1, and defeated the CPL darlings in round 2. Any more doubt they are the best in the CPL? Bring on the Whitecaps!
Also, the supporters section was louddddd last night, and the main stand got into it as well. Decent crowd given the usual hang wringing here over ticket sales. North and South ends were packed, main stand was maybe 40-50% full.

My whole soccer team + alumni is going to attend the Whitecaps game. Gonna be fun!
Was chatting with Dean (Northover) this morning. I don't know how he's not concussed from that collision. That was insane. Interestingly enough, he understands why it wasn't a red card even though it was completely reckless. Dean's an animal though.
Chatting with a buddy of mine who was at the game, he said it was a good one. We were outplayed in the midfield for the first 30, but took over after that and were full credit for the W.

He got his revenge on that tackle that followed also. I have no idea how that wasn't a card either, but I felt that the first one should have been red anyway. I mean realistically, that's a dangerous tackle in rugby, let alone in soccer!

Awesome. Didn't see that one, good for him haha. I only watched highlights.
I got all six of my guests as hardcore Cavs fans now. We moved from the main stands into the supporters section in the second half, and they had a BLAST. They thought it was so much better than they expected.
I am so stoked for July 10th. I cannot f'ing wait.

The crowd was healthy in numbers. You can see glimpses of it in the highlights.

Disagree with Dean. That tackle was reckless (2:49). That ref didn't have the sack to close the coffin on Hamilton. Accurate depiction on the gameplay though, although much of that early Forge possession was owned by their backfield.
And how slick was Camargo's short-side toe poke redirection winner. Class.
Did the supporters call Forge racists as they took to the field?
There are still some homers on the voyageurs board who think that Forge is "arguably the best team in the league". Hiw many times do we have to beat them before they give it up..
