Right but I think most are saying the mistake happened 13 months ago, not two weeks ago.
Not a person on this site would choose to have one of Lucic or Neal on their team for anything between 5 and 6 million a season.

The more time that goes by the more I'm excited to see exactly what Lucic is going to bring.
He has to be sooooo pumped and relieved to get out of The Armpit of the Earth.
Man, I hope he goes beast mode terrifies the Oilers everytime the Flames play them. How awesome would it be if he targets McDavid after a whistle and gives him the dirty old glove to the face treatment.
He really does have an opportunity to become a fan favorite here just for physical, on the edge play vs his old crapass team.

Samsies. I am really curious to see how he handles the BOA.
It'll be interesting to see if his relationships cause him to ease up... or if he's going to set the tone that friendships are over, and he takes it out on his old buddies. I hope he comes into every BOA with something to prove.

I had a dream that Lucic nailed McDavid in the corner and Nurse sheepishly did a fly by. The trade is already paying dividends.

I sincerely hope they are never on the ice at the same time.

McDavid will be double and triple shifted so he can get to 30 mins a game. It will happen.

And yet Treliving did. Until 2023. With a NMC.

I still think the NMC is a none issue. Sure it is there, but when the time comes it will be a much ado about nothing.

More accurately, he chose to trade one of the above for the other. He was already stuck with one of them, regardless, unless you consider Eriksson for $6M/yr at age 34 a better option. The mistake was in the original signing, although it was praised as a major coup by the majority of the hockey media at the time.

I don't think it'll be an issue in the Expansion Draft, but it does Impact trading and waiving

Talk about a lack of context.
I think you know what I meant.
Given the choice you have neither player. Once you have one (2018 mistake) you either live with it or move him for another team's problem.

We’d disagree on how much grace Treliving gets on that contract, but I totally knew what you meant and was being a smartass. No offence intended.

McDavid aside, I will be sufficiently pleased to see him pick up hostilities with Smith.
If a rink camera catches him saying “F__ you Gulutzan” on the way by, his contract just may be worth the cap hit.
