Exclamation [Video] Gaudreau's 18/19 Highlights - Part 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUUoVDsPa0M

2018-2019 Stats:
In 82 games: 36 goals + 63 assists = 99 points.

I had to throw in something that cracked me up at 5:38. Ekblad hacks him in the hands, so Johnny circles around and hacks him back in when nobody's looking. I also love that the top line's go-to reaction when they score a ridiculous goal is to scream "ARE YOU ####ING KIDDING ME?" over and over at each other.

I figure I should be able to make the Tkachuk 1, Tkachuk 2, Monahan, and Lindholm videos in August.

Videos Made this Off-Season:

I love that highlight on the Ekblad slash.

Thanks AC.

Great stuff as always, AC! Really wanted to see JG hit 100 this season. I thought he'd get there for sure. Still think he has a 107-112 type of season in him.

Gaudreau is so good.

It’s impossible also to fail to notice with how many of those highlights in which Monahan is a key player just how good he is, too: a very underrated puck distributor and super, sneaky smart.

That play at the end from Tkachuk to Gaudreau blowing the zone is incredible.

I continued to upload the individual hat tricks as videos too:

NJ in particular was absolute domination. 6 points and could have been 8.

Monahan didn't have a good playoff. His lack of pushback or any defense of Johnny in game 5 was not his finest hour. But Gaudreau smashed into a wall once the post season started. He simply wasn't the same player he was in most of these highlights. Ultimately, Johnny was the difference in a series against Nathan MacKinnon.

Gaudreau needs to find a way to fight through traffic and be this electric 99 point player in the playoffs, or the team will not take the next step. Some more slashes in the other direction would go a long way - he needs to finish well back in the Lady Byng race.

With that said, he's an absolutely gorgeous player. It's a treat to watch him in our jersey, and if he does take the next step in the next year or two, this group can absolutely win it all.

On the "are you kidding me goal" it still astounds me how Johnny didn't one time the return feed from Lindholm. I'd guess most players would've tried to shoot it right away but Gaudreau is just so aware of everyone and everything on the ice.

It's like his vision isn't ice level but he sees things in his mind as if he were viewing it all from above.

That final replay of his disallowed goal just reminded me how much I hated playoff hockey this year.

Have not logged in in a while, reverted to steady lurking but had to jump back in to say a big thanks for your amazing work. Always love seeing your videos pop up and they always bring back great memories.

Hey AC didn't Johnny get a ton of breakaways in the playoffs? Too depressing to put those in since he didn't capitalize?

Yeah I don't tend to put in failed breakaways.

He had the penalty shot too.

Yeah I get it, it's just the playoff portion of that highlight clip was sad. We do know he had lots of chances though.

Yeah, not many highlights in a 5 game frustrating loss. Only 1 secondary assist off a blocked shot and a no-goal.

Not even gonna lie, anytime I watch a JG highlight I pray to baby Jesus that he re-signs with the Flames. Hopefully when it comes time for a new contract NJ and Philly are out of cap space.
