Wolf has been described as a “steal” in this year’s draft by a few websites. I can’t remember his name but someone over at The Hockey News called him the steal of the draft.

He gets my vote.

Pretty happy with either of these two going at this point of the poll.

Wolf might be a steal...for a goalie. But goalies are still incredibly hard to predict, especially a 7th round draft pick.

Going with Tuulola again. At least he's been steadily progressing in a men's league, placing in the top 50 scorers last year. I know it's Liiga, but it's still a step up from junior hockey.

I am not sure how a 7th round pick in this year's draft is getting voted so high in the prospect standings. I can understand the steal aspect, but as a goalie it is always with a grain of salt. Remember when many of us thought Ortio was ready to break out? McDonald? I'm going for Tuulola.

This is round 18 though.

I would agree if he was pushing into the top five. But pretty much every guy left on the list has an issue to overcome to be an NHL hockey player.

Fair enough. We do still have last month's 3rd round (88th) Ilya Nikolaev, 4th round pick (114th) Lucas Feuk and 5th round pick Nodler (150th) still on the board. Neither of them are garnering much interest yet. There is a reason 31 teams passed on him 6 times just last month. His stock definitely has risen, but this significantly? I think it is a factor of name recognition at this point, since he has gotten more press than the others.

I thought he did initially, but I missed him on a quick review, so added him to the list.

And getting to a USA summer camp is a noteworthy thing. It says he may be one of the best two or three goaltenders in a hockey country and a possible for the WJC.

That matters.

Wolf had phenomenal WHL stats as well, his height made him go lower. Big fan of him but went with Tuulola as I feel Tuulola is right on par with the guys who have been going the last 5-8 rounds, while wolf is a risk reward pick.

Steal or not, I find it a bit hard to vote for him over the players the Flames drafted ahead of him only one month ago.
