Just put the word out on Reddit. Can't go wrong.

Bummer. I wanted one but was hoping for a Christmas sale or something.
Seems really dumb they won't make more since the Flames wear them several more times.

I'm bummed out as I hadn't got around to ordering one. You would think they would have marketed them as a limited one time, get it before they are gone thing,

Wow, had no idea they were limited run. Glad I got one last month. It's a great jersey.

Flames would be insane not to bring this back as an official 3rd next season.

Wait.
In this revenue starved season, they have a $300+ product that people want to buy, and the response is “nah, we’re good”?
Fire up the ####ing looms!!!

Must be an NHL thing.

No, its an Adidas thing. They are planning on making each team's one season special jerseys a limited run to avoid having too much stock left over for next season. They are using fear of missing out and scarcity to motivate people towards pre-orders.

My guess is every season from here on out will have a limited run jersey, with increasingly expensive prices. Kind of a cool idea to create collectors items that will hold their value.

Can't locate a borrow. Gamestop ($GME) share price in a nutshell.

I would not be at all surprised to see these jerseys brought back for future seasons. Fan and player response has been astronomical. The marketing team is passionate about them.
If they're brought back, more will undoubtedly be produced (likely without all the Reverse Retro branding on them).
As they currently exist, the Blasty jerseys are much more of an Adidas/NHL product than a Flames product. The degree of their availability (for all teams) was preordained by the league and the manufacturer.

One of our fine posters here put up a great pick of the Blasty gear in action (I think it was Lindholm), and I cannot find it. I have an oilers fan trolling me with the new pylon orange gear, if someone could direct me to sweet BOA victory post with the new gear it would be greatly appreciated.

Nah that only works for things that people expect to be scarce. Jerseys are not now, nor have they ever been scarce. And it is too late for the scarcity to pay off because no additional pre orders would have been made by fans since no one has ever expected jerseys to permanently sell out before they were ever worn by the teams.
This is either incompetence or apathy from adidas. Maybe they can’t be bothered to produce more for the nhl because factory production is limited and they have more important partners to produce goods for.
And since we know there is no scarcity in the jersey market it also won’t encourage anyone to pre order on the next batch.
Literally the only thing nhl and adidas get out of doing this is less money and less happy fans. Sounds about right.

It's bizarre on Adidas' part, there's no doubt about it.

They came out when I found out we were having a baby... my hands were tied. Was hoping to sneak in a purchase later. Guess I’ll go for a used one when someone is sick of theirs!

Very strange, I didn’t think the Nintendo limited release model was one to follow, given that despite short term gains, long term it decreases consumer confidence and sends profits to the resale market.

This is pretty common in the sneaker industry.
Both Nike and Adidas constantly produce shoes that are very limited to generate hype and try and encourage people to purchase quickly. (and in that industry it’s escalated to a ridiculous point where they have went too far in limiting supply, and it’s almost impossible to get the latest shoes.)
Quite possible they are trying to see how that business model works spread to products like jerseys.

But that's an advertising method. It has nothing to do with actual production limitations. They could easily make more if they wanted to but they value the free hype they get.
Adidas and the NHL are getting no hype anywhere from this. All it does is hurt their desperate bottom line.
Did you see anyone lining up outside for these jerseys? Did it make the news or the front page of reddit? Are they selling for 10x the MRSP on ebay? Nope, nope, nope.
If this was an attempt to spread that type of viral marketing, it is a horrible failure.

If you don't require a bigger size, Sportchek has Gaudreau crested Blasty's on their site in "small".
These are Adidas so I'm not sure what size small represents. 40?
https://www.sportchek.ca/categories/...D=333257650_01
Flames team store still has them in 42 & 44 on their site as well.
