Intentional or otherwise I do think it detracts from the enjoyment of the show. I get the impression its all in service for some sort of redemption arc.

But when you spend as much time focusing on an unlikable character it makes it hard to get into. I'm still in it for the ride so far though.

I hated Walter White but still loved Breaking Bad because I knew it was building towards something. I have not idea what's up with Pluribus.

It’s ####ing hilarious. I laugh everytime he does it. And Seahorn plays it so well.


I don’t find the series to be slow at all so far. There is so much more to be fleshed out but every episode we are learning something.

I personally found breaking bad to be tedious at times. Bottle episodes like the fly were just bad. But the budget of this show makes me think we won’t suffer through those types of episodes. I don’t know though.

And yes Carol is supposed to be somewhat horrible but the last episode talking about her experience coming out lends some credence to it.

Walter white wasn’t someone to be praised. He was a ####ing ass hat.

Saul Goodman was a joke and not someone worthy of emulation.

Gilligan isn’t here to create relatable or likeable characters. The fact that people had different opinions on them is somewhat telling of us as a society

Yes, also, in the beginning of BB, Walter was a sympathetic character. He was a cancer patient, with no health care, trying to earn money for his family for his eventual passing. This was enough for the audience to get hooked into the character, even as he slowly evolved into a super villain.

This show just hasnt done enough for me to get invested in the main character.

I will say that this latest episode did try to bring in an element of loneliness into her character, which is a step in the right direction. I think they need or needed to lean into that a bit more.

Carol isn't even the complex type of interesting though, that you get with anti-hero types in shows like GOT.

She has one side to her personality and it sucks.

Even in her grief she makes herself hard to sympathize with.

Seems that she just wants other #######s in the world again so that she can blend in like the pre-hive times and feel justified to be her raging #### self, instead of sticking out as the one singular ####### on the planet (well, depending on how Manousos turns out).
