As long as they don't go full SEL or FEL, we good.

Guaranteed it's gonna be Scotiabank or Dodge.

Also, I'd prefer ad space on pants or socks over having them on the jerseys themselves.

Scotiabank wouldn't be so bad because at least it would be red or white, and match the uniforms. Like their helmet ads

I guess I'm turning into that "old man yelling at cloud" but this sucks. Not so much because of the patch next season. But the inevitable decline where in three years they sell another patch on the pants. Then another on the back. It will not stop.

Also humans are kinda stupid. I mean, who looks at the advertisements on anything and thinks to themselves I better buy that one because I seen it on a jersey. I understand name recognition must play some part of it but name recognition is literally criteria 19/20 whenever I am deciding to buy anything.

The Oilers have already lined up a sponsorship with Febreze.

We don’t deal with ads enough in our lives? Lol

I can live with them on the boards, helmets, socks, pants and in the commercials but for whatever reason it feels wrong to me for them to be on the jerseys.

I think whats most disappointing is that nothing is sacred anymore.

San Diego Padres are the first MLB team to have a uniform sponsor.

Oilers should have hush puppy shoes and some sweat pant company as sponsors.
Honorable mention would go to some horrible malt liquor beer.
Ahhh, Edmonton.....you just keep doing you.

Maybe a dumb question but if the Flames had for example Dodge as a sponsor on the jersey itself if you buy a new jersey in store does it come with the Dodge ad?

Same visibility? Most TV shots of players on a faceoff or between whistles are the head and top of the torso. That’s why the patches are going to be where they are.

You need to be moar outraged by this.

Adding HRR is a terrible idea.

Shame on the NHL for trying to make more moneys.

I like how the big soccer teams do it, with monochromatic sponsor ads that don't clash with the team colors.

But the NHL has already screwed up by allowing multi colored helmet ads (a lot of them have magically doubled in size this year too) and now it appears the same thung will happen with the jersey ads.

seriously? That's what they're there for.

The majority of revenue comes from the fans. If the could diversify the revenue stream, it will maybe make the price increases not go up as quickly.
(heh. kidding. that's not going to happen, giving the fans a break)
