Yeah Flames should be in on that one IMO

Well if he's off the grid at the moment there's not much that can be done regarding the timing as the QOs were due today.

Love the idea of getting Hartman. I'm shocked that Brett Ritchie is only 25-it seems like he's been around forever...

You're probably still looking thinking about Byron.

Montreal is among the long list of teams that have reached out on pending UFA winger Wayne Simmonds. Colleague Michael Russo, who covers the Wild, says Minnesota is another one.

Apparently MTL has also contacted the agent for Gardiner as well.

A poster on HF is claiming that the Canucks were in contact with Ferland, and he rebuffed then.

If he doesn't sign with Dallas I'm sure Tre will look into it. He is a former 2013 1st round pick. Did Burakovsky get QO'd or not as rumoured.

Let's get both and we'll have had 9 of those 30 picks.

Word is Dano didn't get a QO from Winnipeg. Make it 10?

While I agree it looks bad, he's out of contact until Saturday. You can't wait that long just because a guy chooses to be incommunicado. Especially if that's at the beginning of FA negotiation time.

EDM has talked to Ennis & Donskoi, and Mathieson says they’re signing one of Smith/Mrazek/McElhinney. I’ve heard Ennis.

What does everyone think Anders lee is worth on the free market? Interesting player but I think if someone gives him much term they will regret it

He is going to pull in that Frans Nielsen money IMO. And then some.

Dano. Used to be a fan but hes a left shooter and fallen off a cliff more than anyone.

Burakovsky has been qualified by the caps.

Hartman I feel would be rejuvenated playing along side the like.of Tkachuk or Bennett. Mostly Bennett. I think they would feed of eachother and be terrifying to play against. Just find a center to match that sandpaper and we may have something.

Couldn't agree more. That is the kind of signing we need.

the edmonton oilers have been in contact with brett connolly's camp, according to his agent gerry johannson.

Johannson confirmed on edmonton-based radio station 630 ched's "oilers now" show on tuesday that oilers general manager ken holland has spoken to him about connolly.

“we’ve talked to ken, and brett had a really good conversation," the agent said. "we’ve got quite a few calls for sure on (connolly). The (contract) number probably is going to be fairly reasonable, i think, to where a lot of teams can look at brett as a fit."
Quote:
“there’s not a much better opportunity in the nhl than the right side in edmonton," he said. "that’s a pretty big opportunity for someone like brett. And obviously he’s a (prince george, british columbia) guy, so he’s a western canadian. We've got a lot of calls to make, still, and we've got to go through a process and obviously it's up to brett, but ... Edmonton would be a great spot.”

Aren’t we one of those teams though? Per cap friendly we have $13 million of cap space. Take away Gillies and that is $13.75.

Need to sign Tkachuk, Bennett, Hathaway, Mangiapane and two goalies with that money.

Still waiting for that salary out trade but as Duha says, it is a buyers market.
