I'm watching a bit of the Rangers/Coyotes, and the thing that strikes me right away is just how good the Flames defense core really is. 1 through 7, they are all more dominant than I am seeing from either of these teams.
Exception being Ekman Larsson.
On the other side, the comparison of the Coyote offensive players, is that the Flames players all look like every one of their dogs died on the same day. The talent is there, but they are sad.

one period shot count 21-3 Arizona. it played pretty much as you would think, with that number, but score only 1-0.
two more real defensemen, and arizona would be a really impressive team.
