Washington on the path to going 2-0 on the road. So far definitely some good pitching this series with very disciplined players at the plate.

I laughed a bit for two reasons. Initially they showed him rubbing his face and nobody around giving two f's. On the second replay you heard the scream from him then they cut back to the live play when I guess they realized it was his scream. A couple seasons back I went to a live game and an old lady got smoked by a line drive foul and I couldn't believe how fast it came to us. I don't know how she survived because I was sure I seen a death with the blood everywhere. He doesn't seem like he's bad, I hope.

It was a quick view of him but he may have shiner in the morning. Poor fella given that his team is taking a beating now too.

The Nationals being +195 to win the series was absurd. Wonder if that mattress guy put a few side bets on that simply because it was such good value.

Colour me surprised. I though the Nats would be hard pressed to win 1 game the whole series.

Needs to be said again. Suck it Harper.

I wish we had sports books up here. Can't be going to Vegas every time there's good value. But the Nationals have been the best team in baseball after the first 50 games. To have them as 2-1 dogs was insane. They might still blow it, it is typically the Expos/Nationals MO, but they were given basically no chance by the books. If not for Chapman choking the Astros might not even be here right now. No respect given to Washington.

I'd say Houston on paper is a much better team, so the odds makers weren't out to lunch. There's always a chance that small odds could happen. It's a long season and this time of year things can occur but who'd have predicted 2-0 for Washington on the road. Pretty impressive though that Houston offence could wake up after now.

I half wanted them to lose specifically because they are no longer the Expos. But after that idiot AGM's stupidity and the embarrassing efforts by the Astros to PR their way out of it, I hope Washington wins in 3.

Was at the game last night and obviously came away bitterly disappointed. However one cool thing. A-Rod and Big Papi and their huge security detail walked right by us. Kind of cool. Then walking towards our seats I literally bumped into the Big Hurt. Just walking on his own carrying a coffee cup. He was pretty funny with us. The size of the arms that guy was awe inspiring.

Taubman fired. Way too late, Astros.

Unbelievable than again its the Astros....

@thehazelmae:
Astros GM Jeff Luhnow was asked whether he had personally reached out to @stephapstein to apologize.
Luhnow said he’s been busy and hasn’t had the time.

Stephanie was sitting in the room.

Even when the Astros (finally) do the right thing, they still manage to look like buffoons:

That was an infuriating strike zone last night. It didn’t benefit either team IMO but surprised there weren’t more runs.

One more to bring it back to Houston. Really big game tonight to state the obvious.

I find it curious that neither team are trotting out their big horses on 3 days rest. It’s pretty common place recently and I see benefits for both teams. The Nationals to try and win it at home and for the Astros, I think the longer this series goes, the more it favours their depth.
