They released the second season of the Movies that made us. I've watched the Forrest Gump, Back to the Future and Jurassic Park ones. they were all really good, and it was interesting to see the process and reasons why Eric Stoltz was fired from Back to the Future.
I wondered after seeing some of the clips with Stoltz if it wouldn’t have worked a little better if the cinematography and costumes didn’t look like they were out of Bladerunner before they switched to MJF. But otherwise, I can’t imagine BTTF without MJF. I am just surprised they went with Stoltz, than trying somebody like Jason Bateman, who was also kind of popular at the time and better known for comedy.
Watched the Caitlyn Jenner story and it was fascinating. The topic doesn't really interest me that much, but he seemed like a really down to earth person. You definitely get a feeling that she wasn't doing it for the limelight or anything. Well done documentary.
I've been watching this series and really enjoying it even though the subject matter thus far doesnt really interest me as its more people and character driven.
For instance, 'Episode 1: Malice at the Palace' was about an NBA Brawl...I'd never heard of it. I dont really care much for basketball but the interviews with the players involved and how it affected their lives and their careers was interesting.
'Episode 2: Deal with the Devil' again, I dont really care much for Boxing, much less women's boxing, but following her story and circumstances and her career and how she helped move and pioneer women's boxing and what it cost her was fascinating.
Episode 3 was about Caitlyn Jenner and I'd wager was the weakest episode of the 3. Not least of all because the subject matter wasnt all that interesting, like...the Olympics? The Decathlon? And I thought I couldnt care less than Basketball and Women's Boxing....and yet here we are.

Went through the full season of Titletown High yesterday. I'm a sucker for US High School football shows, but the blowup at the end was crazy and unlike any other of those reality shows. I would've liked to see that entire plot be more central to the show. It was also interesting to see a US High School during the pandemic and how that played into it.

I too love those high school football docu-series but this one was a little hard to watch. Too much high school drama stuff and not as much football as I would have liked.
The set-ups for "candid" conversations seem too contrived and even the kids involved have trouble keeping a straight face.
Overall, not nearly as good as QB1 and Last Chance U but it does fill a void.
I wonder if Seinfeld will give you the option of proper 4:3 formatting vs the zoomed in HD releases. I had to seek out rips of the old DVD releases, the HD episodes just look off in so many scenes
Watched it tonight and hated each and every person presented. Typical of anyone who played at any level of the game - these guys came across as big talking trash, glorified in a second rate "documentary". The commish sounded like a weasel, the son looked and sounded like an idiot from that era, the equipment manager sounded like he wanted to be in the gangster's good books. Just the whole thing wasn't funny or entertaining. It was a bunch of guys talking about how great they were and these yarns. Total junk.

I watched it last night as well. I liked it, probably the best in the series so far although I love hockey. I just love how brazen that Jimmy guy was with a team called the Trashers.
