LOL. We should all be at the home depot looking for players and moving boxes.

Like Kawhi in Toronto.

Dougie Hamilton is going to come back from injury as Doug Hamilton and Jersey will win the cup with Doug playing a few games in net.

Are the Flames and Devils still talking trade?

If the offer is Holtz, Conroy should take it. He could pop like Owen Tippett
Not a star but still quality player

Markstrom is a risk moving forward

Nobody is going to trade bluechip , not for a 34 yrs old goalie

I agree with this, Wolf needs to play a couple of games where his results don't determine if he gets a 90% pay cut the following afternoon. Just let him know win or loss you are here next week, and you're going to get 5+ games either way.

It makes no sense to keep Markstrom beyond the summer and in my opinion it makes sense to move him immediately if NJ/LA want to step up and pay the price.

Flames should be pretty bad over the last quarter and hopefully they can land a top 10 pick and moving Markstrom is a way to ensure that happens.

If the best we can do it Holtz and a 1st and maybe more, what about pulling the trigger and then looking at trading Holtz for a young Center kind of like what Vancouver did with Lindholm, swapping him out for Guentzel.

Be lucky to get Holtz and a 2035 conditional 2nd at this point...

If yesterday was any lesson, we should set our expectations at a conditional 2nd and Jersey's 5th or 6th best prospect.

Petr Hauser or Arseni Gritsyuk + 2nd in 2027 for markstrom 75% retained.

Obviously Mercer is the dream but if the 2024 first is on the table along with Holtz, Im realllly tempted. That pick, even if they finish strong with Markstrom could be a high end player to go along with our own. It would allow the flames to take Iginla/catton and yakemchuk/jiricek/parekh. A high end skilled forward + a potential top pairing dman will make not getting Mercer pretty ok imo. Add in Holtz and his high upside (along with some risk) and I think it pushes the flames rebuild ahead quite a bit

NGL Gritsyuk actually has some good KHL numbers. He could be decent lol.

After last night, I would do the first and Holtz in a heartbeat.

Is there anything really concrete that says that was ever on the table? Gotta think if it was, it would be done.

at this point if Holtz was even offered in any way it should have been taken and we should be done with this!

Holtz alone is worth more than markstrom, probably. So perhaps the dispute over retention was how much more valuable Holtz alone is? Is it enough to cover 50% retention on markstrom? Probably not. But maybe in this market.

It would now appear that any of the proposed Markstrom deals floating around were just fantasy. I expect him to be moved sometime in the offseason and not lose any sleep or wasting any time hoping it happens in the next 24+ hours.
