We are such a bad team. Which is good, but the rebuild is going to need a LOT of patience from fans.

Not that bad. They were not trying, pretty obvious starting with Miro’s penalty

Huska just pulled the goalie because he got called out for not pulling him vs Anaheim

I ran the Benny Hill theme music over the third period and it fit more often than you would think

This losing is going to be a lot easier to swallow once the Flames actually start building a core, because uhhh they sure don't have one right now.

Trying to "retool" this roster is like attempting to stop the Titanic from sinking with a Phillips screwdriver.

Crawl out through the fallout, baby
When they drop that bomb
Crawl out through the fallout
With the greatest of aplomb
When your white count's getting higher
Hurry, don't delay
I'll hold you close and kiss those

Embrace being garbage Flames.

Just please don’t do it next season.

Thanks in advance.

I hope Mangiapane gets some goals to increase his trade value. All lines were not working well together. I guess Huska and Conroy working together and trying to win some games to rise in the standing.

This is the most painful part of the rebuild because there is no 'exciting' prospect in the lineup to cheer about and get excited over.

I am watching with an eye to see what some of the young guys do, even if they may not necessarily be part of the core. I do think that there MAY be some guys who develop into a couple of core pieces, but there isn't anyone that this team is really building around yet. It will get a bit easier to be excited when this team shows more skill, even when they lose, but for now, all I can say is that by focusing on a few players and watching them developing here, it certainly does make it easier.

At any rate, closer Montreal, Arizona and Ottawa.

If LA keeps winning for the rest of the season (easy schedule for rest of season) and we don’t want them playing the greasers will need Canucks to fall on their face and let the grease win the division. As it stands VGK has a date with Dallas…

Building a core is the one thing this organization needs to care about now. Everything else is secondary.

We are 4-13 since the trade deadline. We have three legit NHL defensemen who would start on a good team, two who are top 2 pairings. You can maybe count 4 depending on your thoughts on Miromanov

We don't have an NHL center who will be under the age of 37 when we are competitive again. I don't count Zary or Sharky as centers.

We also don't have a first line winger on the team.

I think people are really underestimating how bad this team is. Conroy certainly has a huge job in front of him, and no retool is going to fix this quickly.

Really dull game overall. Flames had a good push in the third but not much else.

Coronato - I don't think he meshes with Backlund that well. He looks a lot quicker as he's grown more comfortable.
Backs is also pretty checked out at the moment.
Zary had a good game possession wise and picked up another point. We should be excited that he's showing well at C. He made a few good passes to the slot too. Needs to be more careful with the puck at the Blueline.
Solovyov - yikes... -31% Corsi relative to his teammates. Way below everyone else and got moved off the pair with Andersson. Hope he bounces back with a good performance. Thought he did good things too.
Miromanov - what the hell was that penalty? Anyways, he's really good at sliding on 2 on 1s. Broke up another one today

Only a few games left... Come on lottery luck!

There’s no path forward for this team to actually be a good team next season, and attempting to be one will result in pure mediocrity - and it would cost us a 10th-16th overall pick.
