I'm not, I'm actually marooned without the game until next wednesday. They disabled the ports I need for steam/orgin on our camp network up here. I must find a work around.

FRACK, I got into a game, spawned inside a jet, waited the round to start, got up to about flying speed and it kicked me off.

Joined another server, got right in! Except it booted me off right away.

Now they've changed the password on all UK servers too.

*le sigh*

At least I got to taxi a MiG.

Much better map, feels more like BF. Didn't get to fly, but cruised around in a tank for a while, crashing through fences and barricades

Password must be well known now, all the servers are full again. I think they boot everyone off at the end of each round, fair I guess.

Still get killed from someone I didn't see, but lots more chances to do the opposite because it is open.

64 people, it's mayhem since there's stuff going on you have no idea about, which is cool.

Only got to play for a short while though, actually have to do some work today too lol.

well after setting up autohotkey to rebind my controls the way i need them, i was finally able to stay connected long enough to have a good go at BF3. getting the 4x scope makes a huge difference as assault, i was able to start mowing guys down soon after unlocking it. still getting a lot of weird graphical glitches though, and i refuse to believe that the beta has the full graphics unlocked. there is zero difference between medium and ultra

sadly it looks like the Caspian Border servers have all been taken down, i couldn't find any in my server browser list. i was looking forward to trying the vehicles

Yeah, the Caspian borders are currently featuring a combination of bugs and poor stability. You can tell there's fun to be had for the little moments you are able to break through the lag.

The new AMD drivers gave me a significant boost in performance, but I still don't think they're making full use of Crossfire. Will probably have to wait for the full release to see another improvement.

I actually didn't have much lag on Caspian, even on the 200 ping UK servers.. well not elastic banding type lag, I still couldn't hit crap except by accident (so switched to engineer and hunted tanks).

Interesting you say that Hemi, I started to notice that too, I'll have to focus on unlocking that instead of playing all 4 different classes each round, spreading my XP nicely out.

It's gonna take me forever to unlock everything

well i wouldn't worry about it just yet, since all your progress from the beta will be wiped out when the game is actually released
