She commutes daily to Strathmore, which is already such a lengthy drive that as a percentage of her total drive, having to cut through Auburn Bay is negligible.

Drove from MacLeod all the way around to 16th this afternoon - 70 kms and 45 minutes. I couldn't believe how fast is was from MacLeod to Glenmore, about 10/12 minutes.

I'm surprised that SB Deerfoot onto WB Stoney is only one lane, the other, right hand, lane takes you onto Mac Lake/Cranston access. Been cut off a few times when people realize it and then jump over into the correct lane at the last second. I think theres enough room there to make it two lanes, they just didn't.

There's room because it's 2 lanes in the ultimate plan. The advance signs make it pretty clear, there's no excuse for people to screw that one up, but they do because... Calgary.

Door-to-door was 35 minutes. This is from Martindale to Evergreen.

16th ave by COP or 16th ave by chestermere? I'm assuming the former? That said, I wouldn't think McLeod to COP via Glenmore to Sarcee would have been longer?

Sorry, yeah, 16th at COP. I wasn't trying to find the fastest route, I just wanted to drive the entire ring road as it stands.

Contrary to popular belief, no traffic and 10 over the limit, took 30 minutes from Airdrie/Hwy 567 to 52nd St exit.

Hopefully this is the norm, but my regular 40 minute Monday morning commute from McKenzie Towne to Glenmore via 52nd St. took 10 minutes. No point in even trying the ring road as it's slower with no traffic.

52nd Street was always going to benefit a huge amount from Stoney Trail opening up.

Noticeably more traffic on Stoney NE this morning. I was going only about 85 kmh in the left lane for a bit around 16th ave.
Also, the left turn from SB 68th St to EB McKnight was longer than normal (Presumably more traffic heading for Stoney), and more traffic seemed to be coming into the city along McKnight than normal too.

Northhbound Barlow Trail in the SE from 114th Avenue north to Glenmore seemed much better this morning. I didn't see any semis, which was a pleasant change.

Deerfoot from Memorial to Heritage was smooth sailing at 9am, except for the regular clusterfata at the Glenmore exit... But the one free lane was actually moving quite fast.

Something else must be different today, as my 151 bus that is normally standing room only by the first stop in New Brighton; everybody had a seat today.
Maybe all the Rider fans who are hungover called in sick today?

Deerfoot from the deep south was exceptionally good this morning at 6:30. Just a minor slowdown at the Douglasdale bend, maybe down to 60 kph. I am with Ken here...there must be something else going on. Stoney couldn't have made that much of a difference, could it?

Probably a massive amount of people taking the day off thanks to the Riders win!
Again, we'll need a bigger sample size before knowing for sure how traffic will be impacted.
