The American owner just don't understand the sporting culture of football/soccer
The FAs officially choose who gets the european places

None of the 6 should be sent next year

I am an Arsenal fan and not only is it hilarious they think they belong in a super league, but its just more evidence of disconnect that Arsenal the corporation has with fans and the community they reside in. Just a joke of a move by these "super" clubs. My fandom was already hanging on by a thread, this could be it for me as fan of high level football. I am all for any punitive measures against the clubs behind it. Neville's criticism and rage is bang on.

This has nothing to do with talent, as will be obvious when the New York Red Bull's and LA Galaxy get given slots as that's the real prize, the US market

I’m surprised NY Red Bulls aren’t involved already. It makes a lot of sense.

I gotta say regardless of whether this is a good idea or a bad idea or the worst idea, it is definitely funny to see UEFA and FIFA stepping up and acting like bastions of integrity. UEFA's coddling of the bigger clubs for years is a big part of what has caused their sense of entitlement, and FIFA, well, no need to say anything else. Watching them scramble is at least a satisfying side effect.

Fifa isnt really scrambling, their statement is soft, basically might as well say, cut us in and we shall bless this union

This has saddened me greatly to be honest. Bunch of arsehole, rich #### clubs and I say that as a lifelong fan of one of them.

I’m against this stupidity. The thing is it’s cool when we play some big European clubs in part because we play them so rarely. If you play these clubs every year, part of the allure is gone.

That said...I guess Jose got us back into Europe?

yep, gotta do something about that pesky off side rule as well, no one in the US understands it and not nearly enough goals are scored, maybe go with some hockey style penalties as well, get the score up to 5-7 or 8-11

apart from the Superleague crap, Spurs fans can breathe a sigh of relief. It's over.

Wow, I can’t believe that! I wanted it and I think it’s needed, but I thought that it would wait until after the League Cup final next weekend. Things behind the scenes must be toxic.

Mourinho's career earnings just from being paid out from being canned is over £90 million. Truly the GOAT.

I don’t think it’s a brilliant idea for the long term, but Ryan Mason as manager of his boyhood club in a final on Sunday is pretty cool. After all he’s been through, that’s pretty awesome. Particularly in light of the pure greed and money grubbing in the rest of the soccer world this week.

Bayern cant stop screwing us though, first they lose the cl final on their own ground to chelsea when spurs finished 4th

Now they are losing a manager who wins everything, at the time when naggelsman would actually come but will probly go to bayern now.

Interesting contrast today..

Klopp says he is against the super league,

Tuchel says he trusts his club owners will make the right decisions.
