I would argue that Pirri is not good enough for any role unless he has someone that can consistently feed him pucks in scoring areas. He adds little value aside from goal scoring, and even then it requires him being paired with an effective passer.

I don't see Pirri being an upgrade anywhere on the roster.

My thoughts, exactly. Why not pick him up for nothing?

Contract spots. Better to wait for him to clear and trade a Contracted player for any player.

You'd be wrong. Pirri can shoot the puck....and that's about it. ZERO defense, no physicality, terrible puck hog, has zero hockey IQ...I could go on.

The reason he's been in the league so long is because he can shoot at an elite level. Give him a lane to the net and he can score...often. But that's all he can do well at the NHL level.

@adater
Joe Colborne has cleared waivers and been sent to San Antonio @BSNDenver

Jankowski could feed him pucks as his linemate

Edit: didn't mean to quote KC again
Flames need their 4th line to ourplay and outscore their opposition when they are on the ice. They cannot be a handicap the way our 4th line as presently constructed is. Teams with McDavid might get away with a handicap, but we do not have that margin for error.

I'm not sure Pirri is the answer though fwiw.

Think Colborne may still have wrist problems.. seems he's been dealing with it for a long time
