Pick your booms and busts for 2017/2018 season

Janko, I'll say he plays at least 40 games and scores at least 20 pts.

Bust:
Lack. I want to like this guy because he's awesome and funny. But I'm not seeing it so far.

Interesting season coming up for me, 3 of my favorite players (Ferland, Bennett, Janko) have potential to boom this season or could also bust.

Boom Andersson. I think if someone goes down with an injury he will step in and be very good.

Bust Lazar. Shouldn't even crack the lineup to be honest.

Bust: Stajan and Kulak. One way or another, I don't think either will play more than 20 games for Calgary this year.

Boom: Jankowski - is in ROTY discussion by Christmas. Gillies - saves the Flames bacon and carries them to the 3rd round of playoffs.

Bust: Smith and Lack - the soft goals will continue until the torch is finally passed to Gillies.

Bust: Lack and Bartkowski (who will lose his spot). I'd say Brouwer too but I think he will be the same as last year.

Smith is a consideration for bust after preseason but I sure hope not - I have kind of been thinking the same as you New Era and that a young goalie might be carrying the mail sooner rather than later.

But seriously, Bennett and Lazar respectively. Former needs to have a boom year to help take the team to the next level, and Lazar might just be so 'meh' that somebody will move in earn that spot from him, ideally one of the AHL guys.

Bust: Smith-Like I've said, I have no numbers to back it up but I think this fanbase is gonna be after his head (and Lack's head) by Christmas.

Tkackuk-have a feeling he will suffer from a sophomore jinx.
