And then you watch our first few games this year and you can kind of justify a decent level of panic.

The last I remember hearing was that he was in Calgary still rehabbing his injury under the supervision of the Flames medical and training staff. That might have changed at this late date.

I like Kari Ramo, sure he was no Kipper for us Flame fans but he gave it all he had with us and played some nice hockey during some stretches. Our cost to acquire him was relatively low at the time and it included fan favorite Cammy.

I still think he could be a decent backup for an NHL team looking for a cheap veteran player. He's only 30 years old and only played 159 NHL games.

In any event I enjoyed having him here and watching him play.

Yeah its hard to justify panic, but fans here are craving a decent season and some hope for the playoffs. I know I am. An abysmal start would be the kiss of death for playoffs.

You know what, I'd have taken the same record, you have to take your lumps, but seeing our goaltending just get slaughtered right out of the gates after the debacle that was last season was tough to swallow.

Um...well...the 'sun-rocket' plan was scrapped. Lets just say CERN devised a much more interesting 'experiment.'

Yeah. Letting in the first 2 shots on goal in the first game of the season against the Oilers... I'm surprised how tame it actually was. If that doesn't rile you, nothing will.

It is possible someone out there has news on Karri that's not been reported in the media, IE: saw him last week in the mall and he's still walking with a limp type stuff.

Considering some teams like LA or Tor are struggling in net I thought someone might take a look at him.

Wasn't he in the A for two periods of one game? He had lots to do in the day that he was down there.

I wonder if he holds resentment or blames Gio right now.

It was basically Gios fault.

Ramo would have been a worthwhile pickup for the Kings, maybe still for the LEafs.

Working out with the Leafs

News Update

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Karri Ramo working out with Leafs as he rehabs from last year's injury but club says he's not signed or part of team. Just hanging out!

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Sort of like a Prust situation, re: Ramo and Leafs

Chris Johnston @reporterchris
Karri Ramo is on the ice with the #leafs at practice. As are Frederik Andersen and Jhonas Enroth.

Ramo has reclaimed the title of best goalie not in the NHL.

Another Feaster miracle.
