I'm not saying you're wrong. But I've provided examples for why I feel Prout is an absolutely terrible defenseman, and I've pointed out precedent for CP turning on a defenseman after a similar performance just two seasons ago.
All that you seem to have to say is that it's a bad thread, which, sure, that's an opinion, but what do you have to back it up? Do you actually think that Prout played well out there, or that any evidence exists to suggest he'll improve in the future?
Just saying, you all can disagree -- I'm used to it, at this point. It's a downside of actually having an opinion. All I ask is that you actually back up your rebuttals instead of throwing endless, pointless drive-bys calling this the "worst thread ever."

This thread is pointless and embarrassing. Why? It is ONE GAME of Prout in a game where the Flames felt they needed to adjust to the Canucks and their physicality.
Oh look, the Flames won. With Prout in the lineup.
The OP's complaints could have easily been incorporated into the GT or even the PGT. You don't make a thread one game into the guy's tenure on the Flames when the entire team is not firing on all cylinders and is adjusting to the new coaching staff, systems and personnel on the team.
That's why you are getting so much flak for making this thread.

Can the praises of Lindholm of the other thread not be integrated into the PGT, too? I think that's a bit of a double-standard. Both guys are new players to the team with small sample sizes, after all.
Is there no room for consistency, here?

I asked you for substance in your rebuttals, and I think it's clear that I'm not going to get it. Also, I don't know what you mean by "get over yourself" -- I think it's pretty clear that I'm trying to make a point about Prout here, not myself.
Anyway, this thread clearly isn't going anywhere and I regret starting it, although I think that if it isn't too early to start one praising Lindholm then it isn't too early to start this one.

Nah I'm with Scorp. He was brought in to fight and bang bodies,he didn't do either and was pretty bad on two goals against.
Worse than Grossman? No. Worth crapping all over? No. But should he dress again any time soon? No thanks

But "crapping" on him is the point of the thread, and after one game it's in very poor taste to suggest he should never play another game in a Flames' uniform.
But apparently a crapping on Prout thread and a positive thread about Lindholm are the same thing.

He's played in the AHL but still, quite a difference. Obviously Huska trusts him enough. Gio and Stone were both in the box, not much choice.

Meh, look at when the thread was posted. Right after Prout stood there and watched the guy he should have been covering scores easily. Many posts in the GT saying the same things that are being said here.
Besides, I know some people are more interested putting down the person that made the thread rather than the thread topic itself anyway
