Can someone please explain to me why the Saddledome was so empty for this game? How is it that more people attend games in Coachella than Calgary? It’s embarassing. Apparently, Firebird’s avg. attendance is 8,678 more than double the Wranglers avg. attendance of ~3,924. I’m shocked Calgary doesn’t do a better job of supporting their AHL team. Not trolling, just sad.

Going to a Wranglers game on a weekday isn't really any cheaper than going to a Flames game.

Bringing my kid to his first game ever today, just wondering how loud it is compared to a flames game. Like do they have the music cranked up super loud or is it a bit more reasonable.

It's crazy loud. I would say it feels even louder than a flames game.

My kiddo lasted till the second intermission but he had a blast, only 4.5 years old. It's been a while but I think the music was louder than at the last flames game I went to.

Looks like they're giving Murphy a string of starts... maybe an audition for a contract next year.

With today's win, the Wranglers are 1 point away from clinching a playoff spot. A San Diego loss tonight would do it.

Can someone update us on Artem Grushnikov? Really hoping he was worth not going for the 1st rounder offered by a few teams (albeit they came with a contract).

San Diego won, so the Wranglers need to wait until at least tomorrow to clinch (again, a San Diego loss will do it). If the Gulls win again tomorrow, the Wranglers can clinch on their own with a point against San Jose on Sunday.

I'm far from a scout but I was at the game on Friday and Grushnikov caught my eye a few times for positive plays including a big hit and a nice breakout play. He's going to be hard to evaluate without paying close attention as he isn't a flashy player.

The Wranglers have added goalie Seth Eisele on an ATO. He recently completed his final college season at Nebraska-Omaha, after 4 seasons at Lake Superior State.

6'5" goalie who's 25 years old.

At about this time last year, the Wranglers brought in Murphy and Radomsky on try-outs. My guess is that Eisle is auditioning for a Rapid City Rush spot next year.

Strömgren continues to generate points in the Wranglers 5-2 win over the Condors, 1G 2A.
Points in 5 of the last 6, 3G 5A.
21 of his 25 points have come in the last 31 games, he had 4 points in his first 32 games this season.

Adding insult to injury, the Bakersfield GreaseBirds defeated the Wranglers 5-2 last night. Kerins (Poolman, Aspirot) and Klapka (Pelletier, Schwindt) with goals, Murphy with the loss.
