Gah can't seem to beat the Jackets. This one could be over fast.

Good game 1. The big boys came to play. Is there a way to check players' conditions in the playoffs? We brought it hard on Smitty with 44 shots. He was at 95 coming into this game. I'm wondering if he will even be able to suit up for Game 2?

One goalie showed up and it wasn't Saros. Who starts in net for a pivitol game 2?

The Bergeron/Rust connection from last season in Nashville continues for the Sharks in the playoffs and is the reason we went out and acquired him.

Our first win in 2 years after getting swept last year.

Mikhail Sergachev is injured at 8:28 of 3rd period (Bruised Left Leg)

Also...I'll update the website to playoff format when I get to my hotel tonight.

First time all year I forgot to set my lines (I think), what timing. Luckily I survived it (and 7 penalty kills) with a win.

This is so ugly. Now that I'm off and can look into this more...

A disciplined match with the Devils taking the only penalty called.
Both goalies were garbage. Vas lets in 2 goals on their first 2 shots. 39 seconds into game one, and we're down 2-0. We rallied back to tie it in the 3rd but then allow JT wonderchild Miller scores the game winner.

Rasmus is hurt by blocking a shot with his torso after just 2:11 of ice time. What a warrior. After that, our TOI totals for the backend group ended up like this:

Matheson - 29:02
Dumba - 26:26
Calle freaking Rosen - 24:04
Hakanpaa - 22:33

With those numbers, I'm actually surprised the Devils didnt score double digits. That's the silver lining I'll cling on to.

We lose Rasmus for the rest of this series and Sergachev for at least another 2 games.
