#28- Ben Hanowski
Hanowski. a RW from Little Falls, MN, was acquired by the Flames in the Jarome Iginla trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins selected Hanowski in the 2009 Entry Draft in the 3rd round (63rd overall). Ben's success in hockey started early when he played for the Little Falls High School hockey team and became the all time leading scorer in Minnesota High School history amassing 405 points in 117 and won the Minnesota Player of the Year in 2008-09. He was also a finalist for the Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award (highest award given for hockey in Minnesota). After High School, Hanowski continued to put up points with the St. Cloud State Huskies where he accumulated 113 points in 156 games. He was named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association scholar athlete in 2012, made the all-WCHA Academic team twice (2011 and 2012) and was on the Dean's List. Serving as team Captain in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, his team made a semi-final appearance in the Frozen Four tournament in 2013. After losing in the semi final, he signed with the Flames and made his NHL debut April 15, 2013 scoring a goal in his first NHL game. Hanowski graduated from St. Cloud with a degree in Finance.
Game Notes: - This is the 2nd and final meeting of the season between the Admirals and Flames. The Flames beat Admirals 3-1 on December 12th.

Sven and Poirier were going in on a two on one but it was called offside. I think it was Reinhart that went offside (it was a turnover at the blueline that caused the 2 on 1)
