What is consistent to you? Being around .5 ppg, guys often have streaks with a few points here and there.
You know the top players are in funks now. Tkachuk is pointless in 5, right?
The team struggling off the break, bizarre time to single out a guy like Fro.
Unless you are striving for Francis-esque journalism

I had thought a team that was second overall and second in GF perhaps didn’t need to add much at the trade deadline. But I’m warming up to the idea now. Still not 100% certain but a one shot scorer might be good.

I’m still really annoyed we lost but I’m not mad. They completely ran that sad excuse for a hockey team’s show. Bad start but after the first 5 minutes it was pretty much all Flames.
I thought the officiating was a joke tonight. They’re not the reason we lost, but they did a poor job.
Sometimes your goalie loses the battle. Tonight that was the case, though I don’t think Rittich is why we lost. Gotta find a way to get the PP going again. Maybe shake it up and put Tkachuk on PP2 and try Neal on PP1?
Speaking of Neal, I think we’re finally starting to see the guy we all thought we were getting when we signed him. That’s two very strong games in a row now and a pretty solid 10 or so games.

I felt like the penalty after the double minor was a bit of a make up, and the late slashing call against Gio was very weak.

Meh, team is in a post break funk. Let’s give it the next 5-6 games

I’m pretty sure Peters sent Neal out in the shootout to look for his teeth.

The call against Neal, both Gios calls, the Ryan one was iffy, as was the one on Boeser.

As was the “interference” call on Gio for finishing his hit on Beagle.

Yeah, and Neal is a 10 time 21+ goal scorer.
Look how well that’s going this year

We just got home from the game (I live in Chilliwack).
It's too bad they lost, but I don't even care.
We had so much fun. The game was great; the building was LOUD and loaded with Flames fans; the Flames dominated; Markstrom was awesome; the shootout sucks.
This was my wife's first ever hockey game, and we had a blast. It was funny, because she commented to me when it was over how boring and anti-climatic the shootout was after end-to-end action for five mins in OT.
Keep playing like that and the Flames are going far.
Good night, all.

As much as I love that my two most hated teams (ducks, oilers) are a special kind of awful it is so aggravating they have even a sniff of a playoff chance with the awful bottom half of the western conference. . ******* garbage.

On the plus side... Nothing to fear in a 1st round matchup with the Canucks. Flames absolutely dominated them outside of the crease.

Yeah I want nothing to do with the Canucks in the playoffs. Flames have dominated them 3 of 4 games and have 1 win to show for it.
A series against them has a 2015 vibe to it and the roles would be reserved.
Much rather the Canucks just miss the playoffs.

Nah. In 2015 the Nucks were on the decline and only finished 4 points up on the Flames. This year the Flames are on the rise and 17 points up.
They don’t scare me at all as a potential first round matchup. Sure they can win the odd game capitalising on their chances and getting god mode goaltending but over a multiple game series with no shootouts the Flames win with ease.

That's like the first all star team for ######baggery.
Can't hate on the Sedins or Luongo too much (though I did at the time), they were basically just guilty by association.

Why would they trade him? He’s their starter and playing well.
