Default Chef Tasting

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Chef tasting through a restaurant that isn't insanely expensive but will still have great food.

I don't know a ton about how this works exactly as I was just made these kind of things exist this afternoon; so any stories or feedback is welcome.

Apologetic for the typos in this post, in a rush

If you are a Visa Infinite member (multiple cards with multiple banks have this, it should say infinite on your card, and your card generally has a yearly fee), they have a tasting series at multiple locations across Calgary throughout the year. They might be done for now, but they will come back next year.

We had one at "home tasting room", where they shut down the resturrant, bring in some celebrity chef and had the guy food critic from Avenue magazine come in and describe what we were eating (and drinking)... it was amazing. I think was $100ish a head but don't remember. It was my present from my gf and me to my parents, for mothers and fathers day, great time

Here's an article (about a year old but still relevant) with some of the better restaurants offering a prix fixe menu. I've tried it at Il Sogno and Teatro, and both were excellent. They might be out of your price range though, but look at some of the others on the list.

The wife and I went to The Chefs Table last month. Around $150 each. Very tasty, staff
very knowlegable. Kinda a one time thing for us. No need to repeat.

Ideally I wouldn't want to spend more than $400-$500 if possible for two people.

I've never had it the tasting menu but the rest of the food at Cassis is amazing so I imagine it would be fantastic. Although they might not be quite as fancy or refined as some other places, you can bet it will be delicious.

Chef tasting... Teatro is very good one, Rouge was fantastic too. Anju is a personal favorite of mine and it is really cheap, but you have to like Korean/American.

Rush was total garbage. Do not go there.
