Default NYE 2013 Dinner

The wife and I are looking to be classy this NYE and go to a fancy dinner instead of getting sloppy drunk. Does anyone have any recommendations on nice places?

Front runner right now looks like Muse, but I want to call and see what the menu is going to be like.

Anyone else usually do this sort of thing and have reviews on the best NYE fancy dinner spots?

Eden at the Rimrock in Banff is about as fancy as it gets, but it'll cost you a hefty sum.

For Calgary though, Teatro is pretty darn good.

edit- The Ranche is very good of course. We also tried Selkirk just outside Heritage Park recently and it was great.

Yeah we have been to Teatro before, just not for NYE dinner. They have nothing on their website about their NYE plans though so I guess I will have to call and ask.

The Ranche will be out of Fish Creek moving to the old Inn on Lake Bonavista location by the New Year. So you may want to check on that. Everyone should take the time to visit this beautiful location in Fish Creek before they move. Their food and service was just so befitting, it's a hard change.

I think whoever owns or manages the property just released it to the highest bidder and it was to pricey for the crmr group which has many of operations and plenty of deep pockets.

I heard that Great Events Catering will be taking it over and running some form of restaurant. That super disappointing, we are headed there next weekend.
