There’s a Sun piece out that says Steve Bruce would like the job. I was going to post it here just to watch the inevitable reaction.

the inevitable reaction would be to tell you that my grandma is a better source than The Sun.

I think a lot of people would 'like the job.'
Hell...I'd 'like the job.'
It probably pays a ton and if you suck and get fired...you get paid a ton.
First order of business would be to play the U23s against Liverpool the next time they meet.
In the meantime put Ronaldo in goal and move Luke Shaw up to play as striker...if he can supplant one of the U23 youngsters.
Bench Maguire and get Phil Jones in there!
Give the armband to van de Beek. But he has to wear it on the bench.
Rashford and Sancho on exclusive penalty duties but they have to come off the bench, no more PKs for Bruno.
Yes...clearly I am the most qualified for the job. To whom do I forward my resume?

Yeah, but that’s a measured response. The inevitable one would be much less reasoned and more angry.

Hmm....maybe MegaErtz was on to something...

According to Sky Sports, Ronaldo wants to see Luis Enrique in the Man United hot seat.
The former Barcelona manager guided the Catalan giants to two La Liga titles and the Champions League and is now Spain boss.
And Ronaldo reportedly considers the Spaniard to be an astute coach - the right 'calibre' of boss - who would have Man United challenging for the title again.
He is said to have informed the United board of his opinion.
And Ronaldo's growing anguish was said to have been a particular worry.
Not only this, but the Manchester Evening News also claimed that Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes had recently sought reassurances from the United board that action would be taken following another poor performance.

Forward is seemingly impossible to fit into a modern system and his signing symbolises a flaw holding back the club.
This season, the flaw was compounded by the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, another nostalgia-driven investment, another reminder that United as a club see themselves as being less about the production of effective football than saleable content. This is a squad put together less for utility than celebrity.
Suddenly it was no longer possible to sit deep and counter because there was a chugging goal-machine who had to be selected up front. With a great midfield, as Real Madrid showed with Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, it is (just about) possible to compensate for Ronaldo and his unwillingness or inability to press. Scott McTominay, Fred and Nemanja Matic do not constitute a great midfield.

Ducker from the Telegraph says PSG won't budge, so no Pochettino until the end of the season. Unfortunate, but not surprising I guess.
Instead they apparently have a shortlist of five for the interim job: Ralf Rangnick, Ernesto Valverde, Lucien Favre, Rudi Garcia and a fifth foreign candidate, whose name the press hasn't found out yet. Said it before, would absolutely love Rangnick. Can't say much about Valverde in all honesty, Garcia is okay I think. Definitely don't want Favre though, Dortmund fans spent years bitching about him and his coward approach.

Slava, I get you're doubling down on the Sun, but honestly do yourself a favour and don't.
From Locke's pool, to this current, Tabloid nonse.

Poster tries to educate another ignorant poster that the paper is a scumbag piece of merde that will stoop to any depth to make a story. Provides example of how low the paper will be go.
Poster replies. I thought it was important to provide a link to scumbag paper because I believe what it says.

of course Bruce wants the United job. I want to be with Margot Robbie ... probably about the same chance of happening.

You know that doesn't make any sense right? Like Ozy, insisting a CB in a 3-5-2 go on constant attack. That kind of sense.

I don’t see the parallel. I wasn’t trying to suggest that this was a serious rumour or that Bruce would end up there. It’s hilarious that the piece was written in the first place, and really that’s it.

Ah let me help. Here's the parallel you're looking for; tabloids and hilarity.

I just thought it was a hilarious suggestion. I guess I should know that to United fans this is no laughing matter.

No. To Liverpool fans.

Well, I’m not sure what you’re getting at. Are saying that because the Sun did some terrible things after Hillsborough that we shouldn’t laugh at a rumour they’ve got going today?
If that’s the point, then I’ll apologize to anyone that drew a connection and was offended.
