'Hawks 2-0 after the 1st. Pius Suter gets his first and second NHL goals. 'Hot 'Hawk PP goes 1 for 2. Lankinen in net, wasn't tested much. Soderberg makes his 'Hawk debut, after immigration delays.

Bertuzzi scores on an early 5 on 3 PP. 2-1 'Hawks in the 2nd.

Mantha with a horrendous D-Zone turnover, Murphy scores. 3-1 'Hawks after 2. For now, Strome and Keith get assists, I expect Murphy's goal to be changed to unassisted, that was all on Mantha with the blind clear to the middle of the ice.

Cue "Sweet Georgia Brown", as Kane globetrotters the puck around the entire 'Wing's team, 5 n 5, to set up a Janmark slam dunk. 4-1 'Hawks, early 3rd.

What a fall from grace the Red Wings organization has gone through.

That team has little on ice and barely anything coming through the system.

Yikes.

They’re living up to their old nickname: the Detroit Dead Things.

Bertuzzi with another PPG. But 'Hawks answer. Pius Suter with his first NHL hat trick in the game where he gets his 1st NHL goal. 5-2 'Hawks. 6 to go in the 3rd.

They can thank Ken Holland for this.

Redwing's D is putting up no resistance. Rookie Kurashev walks the puck all the way from the RW corner to the front of the net, and gets 2 whacks at it. Bernier only stops the 1st. 6-2 'Hawks with 3 minutes to go.

Meh, I would gladly take the Red Wings success over the past 15 years or so over most other teams.

They suck now because they had to go all in during all those years. Not a bad way to approach things when you are a contender almost every single year for a decade +. They already have some solid young pieces to build around.

Now, its time to suck, draft well, and get back to it. Similar to what the Hawks and Kings are doing.

The Sharks should be doing the same thing but they screwed themselves over with contracts.

I'm happy for the change in Oilers announcers but this new dudes love affair with Yamamoto is wearing very thin. Also those Jets jerseys are God awful.

They say that when the Jets players stick touched Koskinens glove it was goaltender interference. To me it looked like it had no bearing on the play but Conor was really whining about it before they looked at it so there ya go.

They ruled that a Jets stick prohibited Koskinen's glove from making the save. The reality is Koskinen missed it and his glove made contact with a stick after the puck was already behind him and subsequently trickled over the goal line. It was originally ruled a goal on the ice and it should have stood.

That is bull ####. It looked to me like he just waved at the puck as it went over his shoulder.
