3rd party companies in Calgary? Mine was bought in December 2006 so its out of Warranty and it finally got the red ring.

I can't speak for Calgary, but mine went about a year ago. I looked into having it fixed here in Vancouver, and for pretty much the same price I could get a new 360 Arcade. I just took my old HDD off the busted one and went ahead and got a new Xbox. Way fewer headaches, and not that much more expensive.

They are selling for $150 right now, and the newer systems have far fewer problems with overheating.

Yes, I have had 2 fixed in Calgary, he did it in a matter of minutes, and both work great to this day. I think I used "killsoft" or something like that, who posts on kijiji.

Microsoft wanted $120 to fix each.
