Seems to be the general consensus for sure. I agree I think they could very well headline on their own.

Just got 4 general admission tickets!

Used to listen to Trap Them a lot like 10 years ago, and kind of forgot about them, but they continued to release pretty crushing stuff.

Yeah, this new album is easily their best. They're really different by design. They were a requested mash up of 2 different genres as a joke of some kind, but the band members liked the idea from what I understand.

speaking of Thrice, they have released a new song.

Tremontis new album is great too. He's really come on as a songwriter and singer.

Yeah! Municipal Waste kills.
You should check out Iron Reagan too. It's Tony's other band with members from a bunch of other crossover thrash/metal groups.

I'm not that into black metal, but I have a soft spot for Immortal. Their video for "Call Of The Wintermoon" is one of the greatest things I've ever seen, and a friend designed a killer shirt for a fictional Norwegian pizza place with them on it.

I like what I hear of their new record. Well worth a listen.

Being somewhat new to Avatar (only first heard of them with the Feathers & Flesh album in 2016) I have gone full bore into their discography and I can't believe how awesome these guys are.

I've begun to realize why people say their live performances are amazing...

Been listening to some diSEMBOWELMENT. If you like Death/Doom, this is a must listen. Crushing, dark, beautiful, atmospheric piece of art.

The parts where it picks up the pace into almost death/grind is well worth the wait. It hits like a freight train when it comes on. Parts like 6:56 and 10:11. Hell yes.

and here's another absolutely crushing song by them:

I'm sure I've mentioned Insomnium's "Winter's Gate" before. Seems like it's finally made its way onto Youtube in its entirety. If you like Melodic Death Metal and are not put off by the idea of a single 40 minute long song, you're going to love this.

Sad news for a “local” band. We Came as Romans from Troy Michigan.

Not metal like most in this thread but I don’t see a hard rock/metal thread....

King’s X have announced that all three guys have agreed to finally get back into the studio after 10 years (during which they’ve constantly been touring). Looking forward to it. Ty and Doug have been putting out some great music in their other projects during that time. Doug made the announcement on his Facebook page this morning. He also released a pedal with Tech 21 recently which is apparently outstanding (https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...stortion-pedal)

been on a Be'lakor binge again lately. New album coming out in late 2018 or early 2019 ... can't wait. Melodic Death Metal doesn't get any better than this.

The upcoming Pig Destroyer album sounds awesome. The whole thing is streaming on NPR: https://www.npr.org/2018/08/30/64138...oyer-head-cage

Also this music video is amazing.
