Default Re-rate update and commissioner trade freeze

Gang,
Here is an update on re-rates.
Tonight I purchased our re-rate package for next season. This is bought from a 3rd party who takes a statistical approach to ratings highly based on last year performance.
I will load the ratings into the sim, hopefully tonight, and then share with my fellow commissioners for a sense check.
As long as things look generally good, we will not be making any adjustments, so the same approach as the last of years.
By strictly using a third party package, we eliminate any subjectivity, which is why we don't make any adjustments.
But since I now have access to the ratings, and soon the other commissioners will, the commish team is now under a trade freeze until the ratings are released to the entire league, which I hope will be within the next 24-48 hours.
Initially we will release the ratings, and then step 2 will be to set the wavier ratings threshold and contract RFA and UFA amounts. But I know folks are anxious to get the ratings so we will aim to get them out as quickly as possible.
Any questions?

Wow, perfect timing! I was hoping for these right after my final exam of the year, which is tomorrow morning. Feels like Christmas when those come out

Is it 70 percent based on past season and 30 from season prior? Or 60-40?

It isn't done like that (strict % splits) If we use the package we are reviewing now, it is the same as last year so the vast majority of the weight is on the most recent season.
