We didn’t deserve to win. However that offside call is still wrong and Their BS explanation is just flat out a joke

Yet, Geoff Ward concluded that it was “100 % the right call”!

Which is the right thing to say. Nothing at all can be done about it now why make the focal point of the teams loss. Though for the record I'm sure he was being genuine.

Great appeal to authority though.

Well, yes, i do think his comment was genuine.

I will trust his opinion and acquiesce with him , over many others, based on his experience and knowledge of the rules.

So yes, wisdom and knowledge rather than “authority”, as the people who had the real authority came to the same conclusion.

That was a fun game to watch, lots of pace plenty of good chances but Reimer was like a wall that save on the rebound pretty much said it all. Not gonna win them all, nothing to hang their heads over just move on and ready for the Pens.

Lucky for us the OOT worked out the best it could for us to have this not effect us at all.

Well, Flames were super lethargic after the first period, but at least ONE good thing happened at the Dome today!

One of the things that had to be at the back of many of our minds is, how will Ward and the team react after a loss.

Ward has set the scene. Forget about it and move on.

So far, so good.

I feel like the season starts again now. The winning streak was the reset button that put us back in the mix. The bubble of feelgood after the coaching change has now burst. Now the team has to prove it wasn't an anomaly, that something has genuinely changed.

Oh well, you aren’t going to win every game.

One highlight for me was Rittich racing out and appearing to chirp Necas when he took that penalty on Brodie in the first. He is hilarious

I hope this isn't a trend but after some insane goaltending from Rittich I'm noticing him giving up a softie per game for the last few games (minus Toronto).

He's still making some absolutely stellar saves but I've noticed a few junk goals recently too.

Hope it's just a blip of a few games.

That was his m.o. a lot of last year too.

Rittich has been good, about middle of the pack for an NHL starter. If he could clean up the occasional weak goal, he’d be giving the Flames the goaltending advantage most nights.
