Although size was important back then too and in fact those Flames teams were not perceived as small- as most of the rest of the forwards provided balance

In addition all 4 of those guys were tough in their own way although loob and Mullen played a lady byng game gilmour and fleury definitely did not

Phillips got an EN goal, as Canada beats Sweden 7-4.

3 goals in 2 games for Phillips.

Valimaki(#29) vs Fox(#23) now coming now on TSN. Tuulola scratched for the Fins.

Fox scores again and yes it was top corner! Not to mention Valimaki looks so good, I can't believe he is going to be Finlands captain at this years world junior championship as a 18 year old

Yesterday Maloney was saying Fox reminds him of players like Zubov and Rafalski.

Yup. From what I see Fox less of a defensive liability than many have worried about. Positionally strong despite his size disadvantage.

Along with Valimaki we are going to get a really good look at Fox in top pairing roles with big minutes at U20 WJC this year.

Fox has looked great, but I've though Valimaki has looked pretty great at times too.

...we'd better. I can't go through another "Gaudreau watch" - last one nearly drove me insane.

There might be some reason to be concerned. People who go to Ivy League schools (Harvard, Yale) don't get athletic scholarships... they are paying to be in school. Guys like this may want to see the whole college thing through to the end (Agostino, Vesey). It probably doesn't help that we don't have an obvious NHL spot with Fox' name on it.

It's nice to see the Flames prospects all playing so well and being major cogs for their respective teams. Man, if we only had 10 prospects at camps doing nothing, like a certain team up the road.
