I call being GM/Head Coach!

I'll re-sign Iginla, get Regehr out of retirement, sign Dustin Boyd, bring Nigel Dawes home, acquire Agostino, get the 'Halestorm' back and make Brent Sutter the equipment manager...

Oh yes....it'd be brilliant!

Thats a LITTLE better, but no way its worth that either, considering the 250 Million in debt. My apologies, I miss read that section of the OP.

The Coyotes are worth roughly what an expansion team is worth less whatever relocation fee the league is going to extract.

Even in the NHL, there's some middle ground between ‘that goofball’ and ‘great owner’.

If we're doing a group buy I think it should be a junior A team. 2000 members at $3k each sounds about right.. It'd probably even be a good investment.

We could move the team to Airdrie (so it was only 20 min away from everyone) and crowd source the scouting.

Anyone who thinks PHX/ARI moving to Houston is going to be successful.... have you ever attended a (now defunct) Houston Aeros game?

What about that experience leads you to believe that market can actually support an NHL team?

You mean the same Houston Aeros that was always in the top ten of AHL attendance, and only relocated because of a lease dispute? If anything, that's an argument in favour of the market.

We just missed out on buying the Olds Grizzlies. I used to love going to their games as a kid. the AJHL is some good hockey.

Compare Houston to Seattle...

Also, the Las Vegas Wranglers: http://www.hockeydb.com/nhl-attendan...h.php?tmi=6525

Going way back, the Houston Aeros of the WHA were one of the most successful franchises. I think Houston would be an excellent choice for expansion/relocation.

Let's buy the Mustangs or Canucks and rename them the Pucks

Forbes reporting Coyotes lost $50 million last year.

Quote:
There’s good reason Andrew Barroway wants investors for the Arizona Coyotes. His NHL team is burning cash at a rapid pace.

Sources familiar with the team’s situation, but not authorized to speak about it publicly, say the Coyotes have been averaging cash losses of around $30 million a year the past five years, and during the latest fiscal year they estimate team lost some $50 million. That’s a big loss when revenues are only $300 million or thereabouts.

Jeez Louise. That franchise needs a good team and a playoff run badly.
