The Blues have outplayed the Canucks two straight games, but are down 2-0 due to special teams, unlucky bounces and goaltending. I expect the Blues will eventually grind the Canucks down with their physicality. Knocking out Myers was the first evidence of that.
A team can't lose by 3 goals and outplay the other team not a chance

Yeah because the spots they have drafted and geography are the same

I've said to a few people recently, but McDavid asks for trade next season and gets swapped for Eichel. Both remain miserable.

Free agent signings? I don't want to stop this Canucks love but their free agent signings have been mixed at best. There have been a couple of good signings (Miller and Vrbata)... but on the whole the cap management has been pretty poor considering the team has a lot of players on either great deals or entry level contracts.

They definitely can. The Canucks were lucky to be tied 2-2 going into the third in that game. Then, Binnington let in an unscreened slapshot from the half wall under his arm, and Vince Dunn got absolutely walked. The 5-2 goal was academic, but before that they'd had about 5 minutes of domination and couldn't get one to go in.

The Blues totally controlled probably 50 minutes of game 1 and 40 minutes of game 2. The difference continues to be goaltending. Binnington was better tonight than last game but Markstrom has simply been much better. If he doesn't hold them in it they're losing this thing 2-0 instead of the reverse.

You are clueless. Blues looked lost in Game 1 and were fortunate in Game 2 to tie it. They didn’t have many good quality scoring chances.

Final scores

Price makes 30 saves for the SHUTOUT. The Habs made Coach Julien happy as he heals from his chest pains, their PK was perfect at 5/5. Domi had 3 assists, Kotkaniemi and Tatar had 2 goals each.

Coach Trotz knows how to coach against his former team. Ovechkin scored twice, but, the Caps lose again, this time 5-2. The Isles PK came up big in the 3rd period, killing off two minors.

The Canucks get full marks for taking a 2-0 series lead. Nice OT winner by Horvat. The Blues came back in the 3rd to force OT.

The Avs get the GWG by Burakovsky with under 3 minutes left in reg time. Both teams were perfect on the PK, each going 4/4.

Huh.... detailed breakdown as to why a poster feels a particular way about a game, and a “you’re clueless”....

Who to believe.

Canucks are now 6-0-2 vs Blues over the regular season and playoffs the last 2 seasons combined. Blues have been dominant in terms of possession in all these games but this is quite a large sample size. I know regular season doesn’t always mean anything but still.

This team is build exactly like Tre built the 2015 Flames. Weisbrod took the blue print and Benning is trying to implement equivalents...right down to the overpaid tough guys (although once Gio went down...I would suggest that Engelland earned his contract and then some)

Maybe the guy who actually watched the games. Hint: it wasn't him.
