These were always in the freezer when kids were in the house. I haven't bought one in a few years but there's nothing wrong with people who enjoy them (in moderation of course). We can't all be food snobs.

Curious if anyone has tried it, Safeway and Sobey's has frozen pizza from a restaurant in Medicine Hat called Tops Steakhouse? Prices are about what you would pay (maybe 25 for the large) for an actual take out pizza.
Delissio/Digorno is one of the worst frozen pizza brands out there.
There's some niche brands and local grocery chain brands (like President's Choice) that are better.
Not really a frozen pizza guy anymore since having a family though. That stuff is not good for you by any stretch lol.
Are the PC frozen pizzas actually good (for a frozen pizza)? I’ve tried the “fresh” Superstore pizzas ready-to-bake from the deli, and those are a crime against humanity.
We used to get those pizza's from Sobey's all the time. Much better than boxed frozen pizza. I recall those pizza's being around $5.99 20-25 years ago. We no longer shop at Sobey's because they seem to be so terribly expensive compared to most other places but now I want to go and pickup a few for the weekend.

Can't remember, was just trying to think of a grocery brand. I've been out of the frozen pizza game for a long time, but I remember Delissio not being among my choices.
I think the PC brand in the white boxes were the best of the PC ones though.

I don't understand the logic behind these bake your own pizzas for $10+. You can get a large Dominos 3 topping for $12 take out.
For me, pizza comes in tiers.
Frozen Pizza - $5 or less
Dominos
Better Take Out
Premium
No room for anything else in the order.
It can work well for rural people. That's a market I immediately think of, but it's a small one. I'd add homemade to your list. We do that every once in a while. Dough and sauce from scratch, then a whole variety of ingredients. It's not to save money or because we are better than delivered. Huge mess, more expensive, middle of the road pizza. It's more a family event.
You also don't pay GST on a bake-your-own pizza like you do with one that's baked for you.
I used to work with a woman who lived on a farm outside the city and she'd order pizza from one of the takeout places and ask for it unbaked. Her logic was that by the time she got it home, it would be cold and she'd have to warm it up in the oven anyway, so she might as well save the tax and just cook it at home.

Allow me to go to bat for frozen pizza. Logic dictates that it's worse in every way, and I won't argue that. Here's my argument though: it's not even like pizza.
The gap between a frozen microwaved pizza and takeout is so vast, that I say they're a different species altogether.
I can't tell you why I love them. I think it's nostalgia. They taste like the first 15 minutes of being home from school, and that's the best feeling in the world.

I was going to mention frozen pizza in the embarrassing food you like thread until some poster came in and threw out a list of exotic foods that they like and it became more of a "look how refined my taste buds" are discussion.
CPK thin crust BBQ chicken frozen pizza. That stuff works for me.

Never microwave pizza IMO. Always worth it to take the extra time and heat in the oven.

Basically this. 12 minutes in a toaster oven for a quick after school bite for the kids.

Those were okay. Greasy as hell though. Like even more so than a fresh Detroit pizza.
