In the NBA, GMs have an open book on previous employer performance, yet still have the ego to think they can do things differently. The guy is a bum. Maybe it'll work out for one playoff run, but he seems to want to do anything but play for any particular stretch for numerous puzzling reasons. I'd take a hard pass on Westbrook though. In fact, if I were a GM I'd avoid both. Westbrooks' contract is terrible long term though.
History is bound to repeat itself with Kyrie.

He wants max level money, but he'll also have max level controversy and headaches wherever he goes. It's a big, big risk to sign him.

He isn't a bum. He is just a talented deplorable piece of kyit flatearther.

Nets did pretty well, two guys who can help right now. But nothing more hilarious than a 2029 first round pick lol. I guess it's at least in this decade.

it's just dumb asset management for Dallas. They could have just paid Brunson, instead they get Kyrie ... who is obviously better, but also a lunatic and an upcoming FA. And they get to give up a 1st, a starter (and their best 1-on-1 defender) as well as their 6th man to get him.

Yup, but gotta try and show Luka you will go crazy to try and get him elite level help if you want to avoid him eventually seeking a trade out. I would imagine they'll sign Kyrie too since they basically have no choice.

I enjoy watching Doncic, but I don’t think I’ll be able to root for them now. I thought Dallas would have been a good landing spot for any of the Raptors trio of FVV, OG, or GTJ, but obviously none of them are as talented as Kyrie.

Funny part is Spencer was a guy that Durant and Irving talked about when they signed in Brooklyn as a reason they came. Soon after they got him traded and the coach they also cited Kenny Atkinson for coming to Brooklyn fired as well.

Irving and Durant are the two biggest losers in the NBA today off the court.

speaking of Durant, I'd fully expect him to ask for a trade again now too. I commend the Nets for dealing with the Kyrie thing quickly and quietly, but I doubt that'll be the end for them ahead of the deadline.

There was no way that Brunson was re-signing with them. He was set on the Knicks... Even to the point of tampering.

That said, as someone who cheers for the Mavericks, this is not a trade I'm feeling good about. The Mavs didn't have much of a chance of contending this season as it was, but I still kind of doubt they will after this, and this means they basically have to give a max contract to Basketball Kanye and hope he says as Dr. Jekyll for as long as possible. This was a lot to give up for the right to do that.

And what does this mean for Christian Wood? He's been amazing with Luka - the Mavs are absolutely better with Wood and no Irving than the inverse.

When you think about it...

New York and California

Texas

Well, except Mark Cuban is Jewish, and is quoted as follows: 'If you work for me, I require my employees to be vaccinated'.

So...

Sounds like the Raptors were in the mix. If they got that involved makes me wonder who's truly on the table. There was a rumor that FVV, PS and OG or two of them were going to the Nets. If they deal PS, it's an indicator they're in for a full rebuild. FVV should've been dealt yesterday. OG returns the best package where he's worth selling high on IMO. PS perhaps you keep around in a retool.

To read about Kyrie saying he wants to be celebrated, not tolerated, is incredibly annoying. The guy has a God complex. How is a team supposed to stand by him when he's continuously done stupid things. He's delusional, what an idiot. Good that Cuban has him.
