No exaggeration.

The last time I had a frozen pizza was probably when I was of single-digit age, but I was looking for frozen fruit the other day and the pizza aisle was, quite accurately, the pizza aisle.

Bought a deep dish and some extra toppings and cheese, I'm putting that bastard on the BBQ tomorrow night.

The first time I had a frozen microwave pizza, I was probably 8 years old. It was one of those small personal size pizzas that come four to a box, thought it looked weird but put it in the microwave.

After it was done, it still looked weird. I then figured out it was upside down the entire time and I had no idea

Anybody still get those Kraft and Chef Boy-Ar-Dee pizza kits? Grew up on those as a kid. One of them had the little packet of dried herbs you sprinkled on.

90 minutes? But I'm hungry now!

If you use a bowl and a spoon instead of buying a machine you can shave 30 minutes off that bad boy.

Ya, I buy one once every few years. Some toppings from home and some extra cheese. Like you it's a comfort food in a way.

And almost all of that time is just waiting. It’s like 3 minutes to mix and 10 minute of kneading. I haven’t bought a frozen pizza in 10+ years either.

My wife buys the Pilsbury pizza dough. It does the trick in a pinch.

I've got a couple of Delissios in the freezer. Should I start treating these like assets?

I can buy a frozen pizza for $4. all that stuff you mention sounds pretty darn expensive.

I used to work with a woman who lived on a farm outside the city and she'd order pizza from one of the takeout places and ask for it unbaked. Her logic was that by the time she got it home, it would be cold and she'd have to warm it up in the oven anyway, so she might as well save the tax and just cook it at home.
So she saved what...50 cents?

it is unfortunate as i found deliciosso pizzas were decent for frozen and something easy to make on a weekend afternoon.

in general i'd think this is bad news as it limits choice in the frozen food case and possible higher prices on the lines that are left. I'd assume some of that empty psace will be filled by other offerings; however, i'd assume that they make take a while to come on-line as it is likely not easy to pivot your production line to add new products

I disliked Delissio pizza. always thought it was the worst of the bunch.

There are more than enough frozen pizza choices already that I don't think there is a need for anyone to jump into an already crowded category.

Yes. I consider them a poverty food though - along with linguine, hot dogs, minute rice, Hunt's meat sauce, Mr. Noodles, and a few other things - so I have a large dislike of it now.

Indeed. You could put them up on Kijiji.

Or maybe eBay and start a bidding war?

Yeah, so?

If someone gave you a coupon for 5% off your order, would you refuse it because it wasn't enough?

Had Dr Oetker for dinner tonight, can't say we've gotten any other frozen pizza's for years.
The benefit is these pizzas for me is they solve my pizza cravings without ordering way too much pizza from Domino's or wherever.

I'm not saying they're healthy, but at least I don't end up eating 6 large slices of takeout pizza and then have 4 more for breakfast the next day.
Been there too many times...
