Speaking of Mattea, haven't seen this posted yet...

So basically a repeat of the ToC + James, but on Primetime. Sounds like it will be a yearly thing where the lowest-finishing players will get relegated and replaced by new players who win an invitational tournament.

Biyak feels like an average game show host reading from a script and makes Jeopardy! feel like just another average game show.
Jennings on the other hand has the perfect amount of charisma and knowledge and feels like a legitimate successor to Trebek.

With Bialak hosting Jeopardy and the Flames season being Markstrom'd I suddenly have lot of free time in my evenings.

Fun fact: if you fast forward through the commercials and player introductions an episode of Jeopardy! fits perfectly inside a hockey intermission.

Mayim is definitely getting worse. I didn't mind her in the Celebrity tourney but the long pauses, awkward giggles at inappropriate times, and unnecessary clarifications are back more than ever.
And I guess she doesn't know the difference between

Ken knows the game, he loves the game and is the host this show needs. Leave Mayim to the Celebrity crap games or other oddball stuff.

Another example of horrible betting tonight.
The leader gets the daily double on the final clue of the game. She bets $4000 which leaves her $400 shy of it being a runaway. If you are going to bet $4000 why not bet $4401 and take the game right there.
Amazes me how many contestants struggle with the betting side of the game.

Oh man the poor bets are my biggest Jeopardy! gear grinder. Have to always tell myself not everyone has the math skills to figure it out.
So the episodes I had been watching in Australia are like 3 years behind. Still get to see Trebek which is bittersweet. Just found it on a streaming service that is only 1 year behind! They had to display a disclaimer the other day on a question about Ukraine haha.
