As I suggested in the pgt if a certain word cannot be said on this forum as per mod, please add it to the filter so we don't run into this again. I thought it was rather clear in what context the OP I was defending used the word in but if people are offended by the term regardless then it should probably be filtered to save you guys time and grief.

If you know a word is going to be offensive to many, why use it in the first place. Surely you could find another word to use.

Sorry, but a filter is not needed in this case. Just common sense.

First off I didn't use the word, second where is the line drawn on what people consider offensive? As I understand it in the context he used the word it should not be offensive because it was not used to degrade an individual but to state a foolish call. So where is the line? Can we say a call was stupid or dumb? Like I am fine not using the word but I was simply pointing out I don't think the OP was using it in a derogatory way toward an individual or trying to belittle people

Like many other words itís history is so full of pain and hate that it is almost impossible to use it appropriately
Plus there are plenty of alternatives
Apparently 225 of them

Btw, I am blaming this whole thing on the Nyquil I took two hours ago for my head cold. I really need to learn to pick my battles better. Sorry.

My apologies for that whole mess, I am not entirely sure why I went to bat there except I felt bad the OP was going to get
piled on and I don't think he meant to be offensive. Anyhow my bad.
