If it is a retirement, it's odd they would do it on a Saturday night (the Vernon, MacInnis, and Nieuwendyk ceremonies were all mid-week), but that might be the only time he could make it. Or, Iginla might want his kids to attend, but doesn't want to pull them out of school for the trip.

I figured with next year being the 40th season in Calgary, it would have been neat to start the year with a Fleury retirement, then FaF a couple players - Kipper, Loob, etc, then end with an Iginla retirement.

Kipper deserves a retirement, not a FAF.
Loob - hard to say just because he left so soon. I'd like to see Reg, Theo, Mullen.
