XBox 360 Question

I got an Xbox 360 for Xmas. Now when I play games, there are several black lines moving across the tv screen. Example, when playing NHL 08, when the players skate down the ice, black lines shorta come out from the players body and fill up the screen. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Sounds like a system error. You're still under warranty, so your repairs will be covered.

I just had mine do the same thing, turns out the GPU was fried. The cost was about $110 in repairs. Xbox is a great system for games, but just terribly unreliable.

Definitely get it repaired. My roomates xbox started acting oddly a few months before it died. The warranty lasted 1 year, and around month 10 the ice in nhl 07 started to get a really odd tinge of yellow. Instead of smartly sending it away we decided that the problem was probably something that would go away. In month 13 (1 month after warranty expiration) the system wouldn't turn on anymore. Now he has to pay 140$ to have it fixed.
