6-4 coyotes. Sorry but I have zero faith in Mike Smith.

The frog and I will be dialed in tonight. Mike Smith have a bad game? Who cares, the frog. Keller gets a hattie? Won't matter, the frog. Bouw N Arrow hires a voodoo priestess to get his team a win? Too bad, the frog. We will win because... the frog!

Is it possible for Smith to fail to meet expectations tonight? Still think Flames win, Arizona is a bad team.

If Smith could go the first two periods without giving up a softy that would be great

Feels like a let down game. Peter's has not been pleased with the teams play in general in the last 5-6. This game will be a bit of a wake up call.
Smith let's in 2 stinkers and the Flames lose by one, 3-2 stupid yotes.

Perfect game to start Smith. I think we pull this out.
I wonder if Garland plays, that was a nasty puck to the head last night. I can't believe they let him return to the game to be honest.

A small silver lining to an eventual loss in this game is that it would vault the Coyotes past the Oilers in the standings. Not a win-win scenario by any means, but still a small consolation prize if it were to go bad tonight. Getting overtaken by a team that has been out of contention since the beginning of the season should do wonders to break some spirits.

Plenty of folks in the GDT already getting riled up with negative expectations of Smith’s performance tonight.
One can only hope it is not a prelude to the GT.
GFG.

Can we please scratch Neal for a game instead of Czarnik? I'm pretty shocked that he has been given a pass all season yet guys like Frolik have been scratched as a means of a wake-up call (which has proven successful).

Well, with Smith in net, if the Flames can score 4+ goals, they'll have a good chance to win and except for a few occasions, the Flames haven't had any issue with putting pucks in the net!

Flames are gonna have to play the right way tonight because Smith is probably gonna crap the bed with at least two softies. If the flames come out soft then 6-4 yotes

I think it’s the reverse tbh. Smith is a goalie who does good when he is taking a lot of shots and is involved in the game. He’s not as good when he gets multiple minutes off between shots. So I think if Calgary dominates the flow of game Smith will have a higher chance of letting in weak goals. If they have a game like Colorado that is absolutely a game for Smith to shine in. Smith likes nothing more then to get a high number of shots.

Even if Smith lets in a couple bad ones as long as the first line shows up we're solid in this one.

Flames need to learn how to impose their will on a weaker team early, and then lean on them for the rest of the game. Too many times they either fall behind or stay even, only pulling ahead late(r) in the game.
Flames win 4-2.

Problem with that is that currently and for the past ~40 -50 starts in general, smith has still let in soft goals regardless of how many he has faced and at this point, more shots against just means more goals against.
Feels like a throwaway game.

That’s up to Smith.

That’s just a silly comment. Even if Smith has a typical performance the team still has a chance to win. Not like they haven’t won despite Smith this year.
