For those that don't know, Sheriff Joe Arpaio is the Arizona sheriff that runs Tent City, the place Niolai Khabibulin attended after being sentenced for drunk driving.
Arpaio is known as a bit of a law unto himself, targeting Latinos in basically everything he does and committing wide ranging abuses in his prison. I am surprised it took this long for him to get taken down. I hope they take him for everything he's worth.

Isn't this guy one of the Obama "birther" conspiracists as well?
Yep. He also conducted an "investigation" into Obama's birth certificate to find if it was authentic, and he supposedly found reason to believe it was a forgery. He stated he would release more information soon (this was in May, I think).
Guy loves being in the limelight. This law suit should get him lots of it.

is this the same guy that's been on tv with the chain gangs and stuff like that?
i think i remember him talking about the 'conditions' and saying something like, 'if it's good enough for american soldiers it's more than good enough for convicts'

Good point.

Obviously Sheriff Joe is not perfect, but the Mexican drug cartels are very active in Arizona, and they are very dangerous. The U.S.-Mexico border areas have had a higher murder rate than Afghanistan since about '05-'06.
At about the 19 minute mark, Sheriff Joe's cold case investigator goes through some of the problems with the birth certificate, and makes a pretty good case for forgery.
Comparing a prison to a warzone is never a flattering comment for anyone involved. I understand the rationale and why it would be popular but the guy comes across as an abusive jackass. While I am not in favour of a prison being a walk in the park, I think that housing people in tents in the desert as a form of punishment and not affording people proper medical care is completely different.
Good luck getting anyone on here to agree. One look at the word "infowars" in the bottom corner and they assume the worst. I just wish people would take the time to research before making a judgement.

Did the guy say that he was to form up a "Cold Case Posse that would answer directly to him [Joe Arpaio]" for all the bitching you do about the government, you are listening to and defending that crap? A volunteer posse which answers to an elected official... yeah that sounds legitimate.

Defending what crap? Either they have a case or they don't. This isn't Orly Taitz here....these guys have real investigative experience.
The cold case posse, while having a cool, sensational title, is simply a collection of retired law detectives and/or friends or Sheriff Joe. There were complaints that Arpaio was using tax funds for the investigation....so he turned to these volunteers to check it out to avoid that.

You would think with such a highly lauded team that will obviously meet their noble and lofty goal, that Donald Trump would foot the bill.

You are pretty good at picking the wrong side in nearly every argument.

I've done some research, and my judgement is that these "birthers" are fools.
As for the good Sheriff, I haven't done much research on him. I'm sure the crime rate in Arizona has dropped significantly since he started making inmates wear pink underwear. So good for him.

Sheriff Arpaio knows damn well that Obama's birth certificate is an outright forgery.....a poorly executed forgery.
hahaha you truly are a fool aren't you? No one, even with the money of Donald Trump, has shown anyone any evidence because some lunatics claiming they know because they know. If this was an issue more than a few crazy people like yourself would be making a big deal about it.

And you mean the $15,000,000,000 the US government spends on "the war on drugs" every year isn't working? Maybe if they stop jailing people for simple possessions of marijuana they could spend that money on protecting their border. The problem is the crazy right wants to fight every war in every country.

Donald Trump is a sideshow who was there to actually discredit the birther controversey whether it is legit or not. He also called Ron Paul a "joke" candidate. Well, he lasted a little longer than you Trump. Same thing with the media bringing Orly Taitz out to represent the birthers.
Trump is known for donating funds to democrats more than republicans in the past anyways.
