A friend of mine isn't an ebug per say, but he does practice regularly with the Oilers, and has for years. He practices when one of the goalies is on a Maintenace day or injured, so that they have 2 goalies in practice. Also he is usually on the ice with the injured players, so they have a goalie for practice.

It's unfortunate it is for the Oilers, but he lives in Edmonton so there is that..

It used to be one of the Dad's that played ( I can't remember who, but when he had enough, the player was long gone from Edmonton.) They gave him a call. He had met a bunch of them when he was managing a restaurant they frequented.

I would guess Markstrom getting the day off suggests he'll be starting tomorrow.

Marky had the equivalent of two games worth of quality chances against last night. Deserves a rest.

The tweet titled has it as "eBUG". I was expecting some kind of robot.

It's not a robot

Do ebugs travel with the team?

Is it an "ebug in every port" situation, and the one practicing with the team is just our guy in new york?

Are we using NYI's ebug? That would be kinda awkward if we had to use their guy in a game.

^ No, they're local. Although for a practice it could be anyone really.

Wouldn’t be the first time. Remember Toronto EBUG great David Ayres suiting up for Carolina?

I think a more pressing question is why "EBUG"? Of all the options for a moniker, how did it end up being that?

EBUG sounds much cooler than Emergency Back-Up Goalie I guess.

I've been looking at new cars for the past month, and I thought it was an acronym for a hybrid/electric vehicle that I forgot about. Didn't make sense why it was at a Flames practice, lol.

Yeah that was on my mind as I was posting that, but for some reason I was thinking he was a CAR ebug, but yeah of course he was TOR. I can't believe I forgot that part.
