In the trade and speculation thread, Rasta(the insider that called the Backlund extension) mentioned that Wolf is on his way, and that Vladar is a bit banged up.

If Vladar is banged up, they might want to give Markstrom a bit of a rest but not have the players practice against a shooter-tutor.

Occasionally they do if the starter or backup is unavailable for that day. I recall an EBUG, possibly Dusty Nickel, saying he was familiar with the team because of helping out previously in practices.

It looks like there's one direct flight to NYC today and it leaves YYC in about 10 minutes. It gets into JFK just before 5 pm ET.

On occasion. Sometimes you need a guy to fill a net and if they are a younger guy they get a chance to work with another goalie coach for a day. Win win.
