Pelts being back makes me very happy. Kids infectious happiness is fun.

Yeah if the team is going to lose some games let's atleast see some kids with energy while they do it. If Huberdeau and Kadri start to pout, send them home.

The All-Star game is Monday night in San Jose. The Flames play Tuesday night in Boston. There are a couple of red eye flights from San Francisco to Boston Monday night, but it would be a tough turn-around for him.

With these recalls, they have 13 healthy forwards, which gives them insurance if someone gets hurt or falls ill prior to Tuesday's game.

Also, as mentioned above, Duehr has already cleared waivers, so he could be the one going down since he's a winger and Rooney and Schwindt are centres.

For any recall, Flames now have to make a roster move with under 200K of cap remaining.

Which would be fine if they swapped Coronato for any of Duehr, Schwindt, or Rooney.

Hopefully Rooney can play well enough into trick Treliving into giving him a 2 year 3 million dollar contract again.

13 F, 8 D, 2 G, 1 IR. Nothing wrong with that.

Zary - Kadri - Pospisil
Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman
Pelletier - Rooney - Coronato
Duehr/Schwindt

Hanifin - Andersson
Kylington - Weegar
Gilbert - Pachal
Oesterle

Markstrom

Well if we’re doing this retool on the fly don’t Flames do it.

Markstrom has been our best player this year. He’s our biggest bargaining chip. We have three goalies. He’s our oldest player. There are a number of contenders that need goaltending.

Move him and Tanev. Get as much as you can for both of them and clear up some cap space. Resign Hanifin if he wants to stay otherwise launch him as well.

In the offseason use that cap space to reshape the roster. If Hanifin goes we probably need to spend some money on a center and a defencman. I’d try and keep Hanifin as he just turned 27. I think we have a surplus of wingers and goalies right now.

You’ve got your toes in the pool. Just jump in.

Lines by salary

Huberdeau-Kadri-Mangiapane

Zary-Schwindt-Duehr
Pospisil

Hanifin-Weegar
Andersson-Tanev
Kylington-Oesterle
Gilber-Pachal

Markstrom
Vladar

Cool. I hate it. Although, it's probably not too far off the reality.

Wouldn't it be better to save some of those trades for 1's for next year?

Might be a better strategy to spread out the plan a bit?
