What patience by Chelsea to find that perfect opportunity.

Also just seeing those first 2 PSG goals for the first time

Neuer saves those definitely

I think karius even saves those...

Bayern seem to be at a crossroads ... they have a whole season to figure out in which direction they want to go. Personally, I think some big changes will need to happen there. They have zero identity and philosophy under Ancelotti, and some players are clearly past it. If I were them I'd bring in Julian Nagelsmann and start fresh. The good news for them is they have some nice building blocks to build around (Süle, Kimmich, Tolisso, Coman), the bad news for Hoeneß and friends is that they will need to get out of their way and finally spend some money if they want to be competitive in Europe. Can't see that happening under Hoeneß though, he hasn't understood what modern football is all about and it's hurting them big time IMO.

If Dortmund keep going like that have so far, they have a real shot at being champions this year. Would be good for the league.

I think it's part of the plan to finish the group stage in 3rd, and then eliminate Ar5ena1 in the Europa!

I miss Neuer, geez. He has those first two I think and probably does better on the third. Alaba can't get to full fitness fast enough either.

devo22 is right, time for a changing of the guard in Munich

And we're totally coming for you Arsenal

apparently Bayern are having an emergency meeting today. Either they can Ancelotti or he's a lame duck going forward.

Plot twist: He apparently has quit.

Which of course means the official press release will read as a mutual agreement to part ways or something like that.

nope, they've just released it and say they've sacked him. Willy Sagnol takes over (for now).

Incredible run by this lad from Basel. Great ball through to him as well, and then calms the heart rate from the 95 yard dash for a clinical finish. Sprinted in a totally straight line and never broke stride until he got the ball. Amazing that he didn't have to adjust anything.

Sounds like Bayern are interviewing Thomas Tuchel, that would be interesting, I thought he was excellent and that Dortmund made a huge mistake by alienating him.

Tuchel is said to be very difficult to work with. I'd love to see it for the entertainment value alone, him plus Hoeneß plus Rummenigge could be epic.

btw, Hoeneß proved again yesterday that he's the biggest ####head in world football. Refering to Ancelotti as "having the biggest enemy in our own bed" is a new low, even for him.

Just shut up and do your job.

I'm curious to see if Tuchel has learned how to coach defence now. Last year Dortmund could not defend at all

yup. It seems to be a German thing though in general, you'll also hear CEOs and presidents of other clubs talk publicly a lot more frequently than in England for example. Plus Bayern is no ordinary club, I can't think of another top club that is effectively run by two people. Hoeneß and Rummenigge have way more power and influence in the day-to-day business than CEOs of other clubs. The coach is always the weakest link there.

Hitting back at coaches is also nothing new for Hoeneß. Klinsmann, van Gaal, Ancelotti ... whenever a coach is sacked at Bayern, in their mind it's always 100 percent the coaches fault. And Hoeneß makes sure that everybody knows.

Why is Pique bothering playing for Spain? He's played for them many times, he's won everything. Now he's taking abuse. Just retire.
